I can say with absolute certainty that the boot times on this 970 are night and day from when I swapped it for the sn750. I’ll let it run for the 10 weeks it took for my sn750 to die and report back. Worst case, I’ve got a spare that’s identified by name by the OC Devs that’ll be here on Monday.

Since the issues with my SN750, I went back to my Samsung 970 until my replacement drive comes. I went with the Sabrent Rocket Q. However after upgrading to 12.1, my boot times on the 970 are just as fast on the 970 as the SN750. No more glitchy mouse, no more freezing.

I got it from Amazon. They’re refunding. I’ll see what other options I can find that’ll work.

I switched from Samsung 970 evo to wd black sn750 and it’s night and day! Roughly 5 minutes from picker to desktop on the 970, and less than 15 seconds on the wd!

Think I'm going to buy one too. You should write to WD and see if you can get a commission :lol:

What are you using to clone? Carbon Copy doesn't seem to work for me in Monterey.
