4K Monitor Support in OS X 10.9.3 - Testing Thread

FWIW, I have 4K @60hz working now with Yosemite and my Dell UP2414Q! In the end all that is needed is to select Mac mini 6.2, at least with Clover that is :D Everything else just gives 30hz or no image at all!! It doesn't just work however. Dunno if this is yet another glitch with my revision...

After latest clover update sound volume really low

Reverted back to the tonymac kext and clover config.plist, previously this had the inputs in the wrong order .. after the clover update this was fixed and the volume is also ok now. Problem fixed :)

After latest clover update sound volume really low

I installed the latest clover today and suddenly my sound which was working just fine is really low, in fact I have to turn the volume button almost to the max to get a modest sound out of my front speakers! Other then that sound just works, no crackles or other hackintoshish problems...

OSX freeze after installing official nVidia Fermi drivers

Any news on Cuda 4? Will it include a new driver when released?

OSX freeze after installing official nVidia Fermi drivers

That is correct, no driver = no lockups. OSX really likes CI/QE though, Safari always hangs on me when I do something wrong and don't have it. Really nice one if you're looking for pointers to fix it :) So if you have a different GPU without problems and a second PCIe, it's worth the trouble to...

OSX freeze after installing official nVidia Fermi drivers

Don't think you'll need to do that, fermi driver just won't load if succesfull. IIRC it'll load NVDA50 not 100 kext. DSDT edit could be tricky, if you're lucky all you need to do is take out the PCIX PEGX device section or whatever your board uses out and you're good to go. No idea if this even...

OSX freeze after installing official nVidia Fermi drivers

Haven't got the hardware or the intention to try that one, but it could work. Don't see how you could do it without DSDT edits and graphicsenabler=no, but perhaps simply adding info for your 9600GT and deleting the 460 device is all you'll need? You should boot OSX and Windows with the 9600 and...

Official Tested and Confirmed DSDT Graphics Edits

This is for the MSI P55-GD55 an a pair of 460GTX cards, based it on a code excerpt on insanelymac: Device (P0P3) { Name (_ADR, 0x00030000) Method (_PRW, 0, NotSerialized) { Return (GPRW (0x09, 0x04))...

OSX freeze after installing official nVidia Fermi drivers

Agree that all this Fermi troubles are just a pity. Lucky for me it's just a small problem over here, keeping the system busy (with the boinc distributed computing client) seems to make a big difference and on average I get multiple hours of uptime without problems. Most of the time this is all...

    DSDT Database: Non-Gigabyte Submission Thread

DSDT.aml for the MSI P55-GD85 bios revision 1.5. Loosly based on Tony's guide, it's a MSI so I couldn't apply everything as is: - DTGP - PIC, TMR, HPET - SBUS - HDEF - DSDT graphics, dual MSI 460GTX Hawk (POP3, POP5) DSDT.aml.zip

OSX freeze after installing official nVidia Fermi drivers

Results still look promising. Refuse to use my pc 24x7 these days when I don't need to, but so far I had about 11 hours uptime doing various tasks (and then KP) and 9 hours (without KP). Boinc is crunching in the background, by now it has picked up some GPU tasks but for the most part it was...
