thank you for replying, anyway that is what I'm currently doing. But anytime I want to boot mac I need to press F12, then select "HARD DISK", than select "Maxtor HD" where Mac is installed and press enter. I certainly could do this 3 selections any time, but I'd like my system to be "idiot"...

what if windows is installed in a separate raid 0 array which cannot be seen from mac (therefore I can't use Disk Util to find my win hd and partition numbers) ? :?: note that chameleon is able to boot my windows partition if i choose it manually at boot selection screen.
