    Cant access RAID1 drives with new High Sierra install

    Thanks for the info. I was not seeing anything that related to my theory on the web so good to get a firmer answer than what i had. As far as i know, and knowing that there were issues with the 3rd party SATA ports back when i built it, i would think i would have connected the RAID to the Intel...

    Cant access RAID1 drives with new High Sierra install

    I went back to Yosemite and it can see the software RAID. I guess at some point the software raid between OS versions becomes incompatible.

    Cant access RAID1 drives with new High Sierra install

    Bump. The previous install was Yosemite. Maybe getting that version will auto detect the RAID?

    Cant access RAID1 drives with new High Sierra install

    I built an old hack many years ago using Mountain Lion I think. That install got borked, so i have installed High Sierra. Gigabyte Z68X UD3H is the motherboard. I had 2 WD HDDs in RAID 1 setup through OSX. These are slave drives, not the boot drive. I cant seem to get OSX to see this RAID setup...

    An error occurred while extracting files from the package "Essentials.pkg".

    Ive been battling this very annoying error. Im 99% sure its just a USB file copy problem. So i went and did the following MD5 checksums of the source vs USB: Jasjeets-Pro:~ jasjeet$ MD5 /Volumes/OS\ X\ Install\ ESD/Packages/Essentials.pkg MD5 (/Volumes/OS X Install...

    Thanks for a very comprehensive guide. I wonder if you can help me with the Sleep function. I have followed your guide, created and patched the DSDT, and installed it to /Extra. I have also followed the configuration of Multibeast, everything else works fine. When i Sleep the PC, the...

    Will dual booting harm my other os

    It may have done if you left the Windows HDD in while installing OSX. But when you boot OSX, if you press any key to stop the timer, then choose the Windows System Reserved Partition itll boot into Windows.

    RAM=NO BOOT!!!

    Test 1 Module at a time. Dual Channel RAM can be run in single modules, it just runs in single channel, no problems. Use Memtest86+ CD to test the Ram Module for around 30 minutes. For more modules of Ram you may need more IOH Voltage and CPU VTT. Also make sure all the Ram timings and...

    HDMI edits - Have you done them?

    It looks like a lot, but really all you are doing is copying and pasting a couple of sections of code into your DSDT and then just replacing the old DSDT with the modded one. Some extra things to do with some GPU configurations, but nothing impossibly hard, everything you need is in the thread too.
