I, too, reverted to older BIOSand reverted the Thunderbolt firmware. I am on macOS 13.6.1 using my Apogee Symphony MKII (which is a Thunderbolt 2 device), and it works great.

@CaseySJ Thanks for the great build log! Could you modify SSDT-UIAC-ASUS-Z690-PROART-15-PORTS.aml to turn off HS14 and turn on HS09. I don't use Bluetooth or WIFI.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner; haven't been in the studio... In my BIOS I have Thunderbolt Boot Support --> Disabled.
These are the changes I have in the EFI from stock:
Kernel --> USBWakeFixup.kext uncheck
ACPI --> SSDT-USBW.aml uncheck
I have disabled AppleVTD :

I'm still on BIOS F6. Next time I'm in the studio I will look at the Thunderbolt settings in BIOS, but I think it is the same as Casey's settings. Hot plug works fine. I should note I have sleep turned off as I do on any studio computer.
Been running Big Sur with my Apogee Symphony MKII Thunderbolt for a year. Unflashed native TB port. Stock CaseySJ EFI with no issues (currently on OC 0.79).
I use Waves V13, Komplete Ultimate 13 with no problems on Big Sur 10.6.2 . I did an in place upgrade last March. Interface is a Apogee Symphony MKII thunderbolt on stock Designare (no firmware upgrade). Hope this helps. I would never upgrade to Monterey this soon.
