    Cheap graphics card with DP?

Hi, I just bought a LED Cinema Display, and my current motherboard (and HD4600) doesn't have a DisplayPort. Which graphics card can I buy that is cheap, supported, and have DP? I don't need it to be a powerhorse, as I use my Hack primarily for software development.

Jafingi's simple PowerMac G5 to mATX mod

Thanks! :D I have not done the cable management yet, as I have been a little busy, but will do it in the next few days. The power coord will be wired to I can use the native G5 plug, and I have a little idea of making an aluminium plate to hide the cables. The plate will be raised 3cm or so...

    Does this CPU cooler fit?

I can recommend the Arctic i30 cooler i use. When setting the CPU fan to silent in the UEFI, it's dead-silent. I don't have a dedicated GPU. I use the HD4600 built into the processor. I only use this Hackintosh for web browsing, email etc. so no need for dedicated GPU. Will reply regarding...

    Does this CPU cooler fit?

Yes! Exactly! It's running pretty cool, even when running the fans in low-noise mode (it's 100% silent). With Prime95 it gets to about 68 degrees after one hour. That's pretty impressive if you ask me.

    Does this CPU cooler fit?

I have an Arctic Freezer i30, which is 0,6mm taller than the Cooler Master, and it fits fine (with The Laser Hive's motherboard plate). So you'll have no problems whatsoever, neither have problems with the airflow. You can see the cooler in my build here...

Jafingi's simple PowerMac G5 to mATX mod

Since last time, I have fine tuned the Clover configuration, and now the Hackintosh boots directly to OS X without showing the Clover boot screen or UEFI boot screen. So it's just like a real Mac (except for the missing chime): Press the power button, and the Apple logo is instantly shown...

    HD4600 only 5MB VRAM. Clover - i3-4330

I have the following hardware: Asrock Z97m Pro4 mATX Intel i3-4330 with HD4600. Installed Yosemite with the Clover guide from here, and used the sample config.plist for HD4600. Everything works except for the graphics has only 5MB VRAM and no acceleration. Any ideas on how to fix this? I...

Jafingi's simple PowerMac G5 to mATX mod

There's about 17cm when the motherboard is mounted on the standoffs from The Laser Hive's kit. My cooler is an Arctic Freezer i30 120mm, and it's HUGE! My setup only uses an i3, but I think it'll work fine for even an overclocked i7. Motherboard in place: Backplate looks great! Not a big...

How To Install OS X Yosemite Using Clover

Clover boots fine, and I select "Install OS X....", but when it shows the first installation screen, it's pretty off and pixelated. I'm using an i3 and its integrated HD4600 (and also using that config.plist in Clover). Any ideas why this is happening, and what I can do to solve it? The screen...

Jafingi's simple PowerMac G5 to mATX mod

Feel free to ask here too, sffsipete, as I use the same kit! :-) However, David usually replies promptly - he's really a great support! Received the hardware today - will update the post with more progress tomorrow. I have ordered the BlackCH front panel I/O cable, which should be delivered...

Jafingi's simple PowerMac G5 to mATX mod

A little update from me. Been very busy the last week, but got time for some cutting action with my Dremel :P Hardware is arriving tomorrow! Looking so much forward to setting it up. Tried to keep as much of the back as possible, but still need a little more (marked in black). But I ran out of...
