You have to be enrolled as an Apple Developer and you have to install a profile on your Mac that interfaces with Software Update. As far as I know that's the only way to get the beta versions of MacOS -- there isn't a standalone downloadable beta version anywhere. So basically, install the...
Yep, this 100%. I also use the Terminal commands to update kexts in /Library/Extensions so I don't corrupt them or mess up the kext cache. I used to have a few duplicate kexts in my EFI partition but I killed them and now only have a single set in /Library/Extensions.
Painless upgrade from 10.15.0 to 10.15.1. Updated WEG, Lilu, and AppleALC in \Library\Extensions, added boot argument agdpmod=pikera via Clover, updated via Software Update. Gonna look into getting a 5700 now to replace my RX580...
Updated Clover using recommended procedure for going from 2.4 to 2.5. Installed latest versions of AppleALC, Lilu, WhateverGreen using command line, then updated directly from 10.14.5 to 10.15. No issues other than my Logitech unifying received stopped working (fixed with a firmware and software...

Yep, had to mount the EFI partition using Clover Config then added this to config.plist. All good now.
