    AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementInfo.kext (MSRDumper successor)

I tried few higher values, but no change here - like before I have Min+Max+Turbo - like on real iMac

    SSDT generation script (Ivybridge PM)

@PikeRAlpha I think there is another problem with script - the output processor objects should be in the same scope as you detected - I saw in the script that you are checking scope if it is _PR or _SB, but the generated file contains only _PR scope even when the processor object was define...

    i7 3930K LGA 2011 Processor

simply NullCPUPowerManagement.kext disables AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext so forget about speedstep and etc. your CPU will have highest power draw, so coolers will produce noise and so on.

using NullCPUPowerManagement.kext you have no PM - so once again did you try enable PM ?

did you try to enable power management ?

    i7 2700k ?

i'm sharing my experience in other forum where there is no focus on only one MOBO manufacturer - i wrote there step by step installation, so every single user will understand what have to do. I also explained in details, using ACPI specification, how to prepare DSDT file - not just saying that...

    Gigabyte or not Gigabyte?

my first hackintosh was on Gigabyte motherboards - you can run your hack on Gigabyte too, but simply there are better solutions... when you are aware of what you are using and what it is doing, you will know the answer

    i7 2700k ?

the truth is Gigabyte motherboards are good for noobs...or forum is sponsored ? ;-) - when you understand how all this works you will not use gigabyte... new Asus and MSI are using UEFI which are booting much more faster then old BIOS based MOBOS. There are also new project based on UEFI...

    i7 3930K LGA 2011 Processor

I think Apple is waiting for Ivy and will not use Sandy Bridge-E - if they wanted to use them it probably would have supported so they can test them.

    i7 3930K LGA 2011 Processor

as usual with Gigabyte you will have more problems... Current MSI & Asus motherboards using UEFI are much more like Apple products - ACPI tables are similar so you don't have to modify them by using your custom DSDT. I also started with Gigabyte, but when I understand how all this works I'll not...

    i7 3930K LGA 2011 Processor

no, but you can try ;-) as I saw there is no problem with detecting cores, but with TSC sync - you will see. I am waiting for native support, now it is useless. I'm curious how will your graphics card work - I was not able to get full res...

    i7 3930K LGA 2011 Processor

no, cpus=1 forces the system to only use a single CPU core. You can run eg geekbench which tells you how many cores you have.
