So its not to do with the disks going to sleep. I have set them to never spin down and the card still stops responding...
I am seeing this error in the system log now
/kernel (/Library/Extensions/HighPointIOP.kext/Contents/MacOS/HighPointIOP)
***no free req***
Im getting a weird problem with my Highpoint 4520 raid card and my high sierra install. The raid controller seems to go in to a sleep mode when the disks sleep and wont wake up again without a reboot. Looking at the console system logs I am seeing this error...
Hi msh,
so after swapping MATS for BGRT the installation completed! However, this time I didn't update it to afps (kept it on HFS)
So I am wondering whether the actual problem was that i needed apfs in drivers64UEFI and that was what was stopping the install?
Should I go back and reinstall...
ok got it re 18,3. I will use 14,2
when you say mount the EFI folder - I assume you mean the one on the USB installer? I am downloading the configurator as I type
Thanks
Thanks for the fast reply msh!
14,2 was the default that didn't work so i had a go with 18,3 :-)
I'm not familiar with the tool you screenshot - can I do the drop table from clover in the installer, i do i need to create a custom file somewhere?
Sorry for the newbie questions
Hi,
After putting it off for a very long time I am finally trying to install High Sierra on my Z77MA-G45.
I have followed the standard instructions but its not working.
I didn't have to change any settings from default to get the installer up and running. I get to the 2nd reboot (where you...
Hi Blue_Ocean,
Have you managed to get High Sierra running on you Z77MA-G45?
I cant get it working currently (it hangs at 8 mins remaining) and I am reluctant to update the bios incase it still doesn't work and then I cant go back to my el capitan install
Only think I cant get working at the moment is Sleep - it crashes on wake. But as I am running this Hack as a media server that is on 24/7 its not too much of a problem for me :)
Only driver I needed to install via multibeast was the audio driver. Sleep isn't working though - goes to sleep but reboots on wake up - any ideas? Not too bothered if not fixable as using this build as a media server that I never want to sleep :-)
Thanks for this! I think the bios update has helped there by wiping it totally clean! Not only did the installer run, but USB3 and ethernet worked before i even ran multibeast! Just testing to see what Audio is doing
So I tried updating the bios as UEFI booting under the 1.4 bios was flaky. Then I added the kexts you linked in your post - and hey presto - the installer ran! Not only that, both ethernet and USB3.0 (both ports) are working! I have not even run multibeast yet! THANK YOU :clap::clap:!!!!
