[Guide] Lenovo ThinkPad T440P [OpenCore 0.5.9]

Awesome! Pic of the build? I'm back on the T440P too. It's just so comfortable to type on a mechanical keyboard with the Thinkpad Trackpoint on macOS.

I have the same with the 4910MQ and it gets a bit warm, but tolerable. Absolutely shreds most tasks. I'm thinking of undervolting the CPU a little. Could you share your VOLTA settings?

x270 catalina - time for optimization

I've already posted my EFI. Big Sur isn't something I'm interested in for now - I would rather have a stable OS. If there ever is a real reason to upgrade, it will be through Opencore.

If anyone still has distortion using their headphone jack, this fixed it for me on Mojave 10.14.6 (to be tested on Catalina) https://github.com/jardenliu/ALC298PlugFix

<< Solved >> Headphone Audio Distortion on XPS 15 7590 with Realtek ALC298

I have identified a temporary fix within the OS. Select 'Line In' under System Preferences - this clears up the distortion. Sometimes the distortion comes back if you click this window away, so minimize the window while keeping 'Line In' highlighted. I am using layout-id 29. Have tried...

I played around with this again today. You can clean up the distortion by selecting 'Line In' within Systems Preferences. A temporary fix, as the input jack/headphones sometimes it goes back to distortion.

<< Solved >> Can't get audio device working, tried every ALC298 codec

Yep, definitely selecting 'Line In' makes the headphone output clean. Sometimes it goes back to distorted signal again, but re-selecting it always fixes it.
