Hey Bazzevo,
Have you got a real Mac you can test the interface on to see if it exhibits the same behavior? It sounds like a Tthunderbolt issue but you can never be too sure!
I'm running an RME FF802 (USB) on 96KHz @ 128 samples on LPX 10.6.1 without an issue. However, I have found that Big...
Hey Whathelll,
Your RAM timings look quite tight which could be leading to instability. I know that my build does not behave itself in Big Sur especially when the system is unstable due to low voltages, high clocks and/or too tight RAM timings.
I'd encourage you to do some stability testing in...
You guys seen this?
Apple apparently moving to randomized serial numbers in early 2021. So Z490 might be last hackable platform:
https://www.macrumors.com/2021/03/09/apple-randomized-serial-numbers-early-2021/
What kind of impact is this going to have? Could be death of hackintosh no?
I have same slow booting on Vision G as described above by Emistral.
Also, I've just attempted the upgrade to 0.6.7 and am testing it on the bootable USB. However, Logic Pro X is chucking a bunch of errors on launch about some of my plugins saying:
"x.component can't be opened because Apple...
Hey Casey thank you, as ever, for your constant help.
I MAY have found the culprit as I was messing around with the TREFI on my RAM. I've set it back to auto and the system seems totally stable again so it may well be another one of those fine examples of user error rather than machine!
Thanks...
1. Its happened 4 times today and funnily enough it never happens in Logic! It happens mostly when doing very mundane tasks like web browsing or even just simply in Finder (which made me think it must be the RAM?).
2. It first started about the time of 0.6.5 release
3. I will try loading...
Hi guys sorry to trouble you.
I'm getting hard freezing in Big Sur (and have been doing for a while now) with no real remedy despite a lot of tweaking my end to try and fix this. Unfortunately, its pretty much gotten to the point where the computer is unusable for work as its hard freezing so...
Yo Casey thanks for the above - I'm in more of a pickle now though I'm afraid!
It did make it all the way to the point of removing the other 'Macintosh HD' parition/bootable icon from OC so there is now only one 'Macintosh HD' like normal :)
HoweverBig Sur is unbootable at all and reboots in...
Thanks for the reply mate!
I'm now getting this on subsequent attempts at updating:
"Download failed. An error occured while downloading the selected updates. Please check your internet connection and try again."
Funnily enough this is pretty much what happened last time when I tried to...
Hi Casey/all,
I've pulled a bit of a boo-boo with my hack and need some help I'm afraid!
I tried to update to latest Big Sur (11.2.1) from 11.2 using Software Update.
Everything was looking like it was working fine so I left the machine to it (after a few restarts) and went off for a cup of...
Forgive my ignorance here but what is the benefit to all of this? Would we see better compatibility for audio interfaces via Thunderbolt on hackintosh potentially?
And great news re: Radeon 6 series. Can't wait to upgrade (assuming we ever get any stock of graphics cards that is!)
Thank you for your suggestion though Casey as usual!
Steps I took (in case this helps anyone else):
Booted 11.1 recovery drive
Used Disk Utility to 'First Aid' the 'Macintosh HD' partition of my system disk
Updated successfully using Software Update
The tables have turned young padawan! I...
