Hi, Thanks for your reply. Yes I followed that guide.
I managed to fix this simply by using a different USB stick. A clean install was needed though, but Yosemite is now up and running! :D
Hi there, I'm trying to update to Yosemite from Mavericks. But after following the instructions and selecting USB at boot up, the installer loading bar only ever reaches half way and then gets stuck. I have waited 12 hours.
I have tried with boot flags -x -v -f separately and in combinations...

According to that website, the free version won't play in 1080p.

I used these settings but the sleep function doesn't work. Any ideas. Screen goes off but fans and disks still spinning. Won't wake up and has to be force rebooted.
Thanks
I'd like to know this too. The very low power consumption of 55w is great. It also offers the best performance per $ of any new Nvidia graphics card!
It's not mentioned in the March buyers guide. If anyone has tried either of them, I'm sure lots of people would be interested to know if they...
Thanks for your reply jamesle,
I did try those boot flags, but I think it has to be on a higher BIOS for that card to work. And yes, i did update the BIOS properly as mentioned on ASUS support page.
It's a mystery why updating the BIOS disables half of the motherboard!
Hi there,
Does anyone know any of these things:
• Why my machine keeps freezing VERY often. (often within 5 minutes)
• How to enable GTX 600/700 series to work on 0703 BIOS?
• Why my 2nd CPU and it's RAM slots are not detected when updating the motherboard BIOS from 0703 to anything higher...
Many thanks Sal, will be great to get a complete guide on here that 100% works every time for new people! Also, if you have the time to reply to my question on post #60 i'd be very greatful!
Thank you
You could try installing a modified kext i uploaded to post 55 of this thread. Just replace the old one with this one (keep the old one backed up incase this doesn't work). It allowed me to boot for the first time with all drivers installed.
Are both your CPUs detected with the 5304 BIOS? Mine...
I'm using a GTX 580 with GraphicsEnabler=Yes but getting very poor performance from it. Final Cut Pro X is very laggy and i'm getting just 18fps on Cinebench. Are these new drivers likely to improve things? Thanks.
