my wifi is really slow too. my bars also stay at 4 even when i know it should be lower. my card is an apple branded as well. when you opt-click the wifi menu item what does your transmit rate say? mine ranges from 1-11...usually 5 or less.. it is like this in windows 7 as well what pci-e...
