I gave up on Yosemite and went straight to El Capitan, downloaded from the Apple Store:
Used latest version of Unibeast (6.2.0) to build my USB UEFI install with InjectNVIDIA option; installed flawlessly.
Plugged in and configured my HDMI display, which the OS currently thinks is a projector...
El Capitan install goes smoothly with latest Uni/Multibeast installations for Clover UEFI boot settings...as long as InjectNVIDIA setting is enabled.
I'm having a problem with second (HDMI) display with the GeForce 210 card though; I've read the troubleshooting guides which recommend turning...
Apparently,I missed the window of opportunity to obtain it, by staying on Mountain Lion too long. Only El Capitan available to me via Apple Store.
A friend shared the Yosemite installer that I'm using; I got the same image to install properly via yesterday's Unibeast attempts, but maybe it...
Everything goes smoothly until the actual OSX installation process begins; getting "corrupted or tampered with" error.
I checked the System Date/Time, which was fine, then rebooted and tried again with same results.
Erased the USB stick and repeated entire Clover Installation procedure again...
Thank you. Yes, I see now that Chimera was installed via Multibeast.
I just want to create the most up-to-date install for long-term stability. This is a mission-critical machine and I want to get it right from the beginning.
Thanks for the help.
Am I correct in thinking that my Z68X UEFI (U1h) doesn't need DSDT, so choosing the DSDT-Free Multibeast option is best, instead of the Easy Install option?
I didn't. I thought Multibeast wrote all of that stuff into the config.plist file for me.
Will I have to run Multibeast again after copying EFI from USB?
I guess an EFI partition wasn't copied onto target drive during Unibeast install...?
No Boot w/o USB
After what seemed like a successful post-install with newest Multibeast, my Gigabyte Z68X (U1h) won't boot without the USB inserted.
I followed another Success Guide which recommended the DSDT-Free option instead of the Easy Install in Multibeast.
I'm also using an SSD drive...
Ok, I added the following Boot Flags:
dart=0 nv_disable=1 no-zp -f -v
And it worked!!! You rock, P1LGRIM!! :D
Now, on to the rest of the journey; I'll definitely post another Success Guide when I'm finished and give you due credit.
