    Core i7 4770k + Zotac GTX 770 + Corsair Vengeance

Hi, wow that's really cool, I really put a lot of research in the parts and when you look at price to performance standpoint, I think this system is pretty much the sweetspot. So, regarding the 4790k I don't see any reason not to buy, since it's like the same price and even if you do not need...

    Best looking ATX case?

I would recommend the Fractal Design Define R4 http://www.amazon.com/Fractal-Design-Define-Arctic-FD-CA-DEF-R4-WH/dp/B008HD3EA0 I owned it for half a day until I realized it wouldn't fit my rad, so I switched to the NZXT H440 (which would have been my second suggestion) Both awesome cases for...

    GA-Z87X-UD5 TH + i7 4790K - System Uptime in nanoseconds

Hi, I might not be the best help, because I'm very new to hackintoshing but since I run a similar setup (GA Z87X-OC, 4790k) and ran into the same kp (I think it's the same), I thought I might as well share, what went wrong for me. At first, try to disable VT-d in your BIOS (somewhere in the CPU...

    Core i7 4770k + Zotac GTX 770 + Corsair Vengeance

Just a little update, since the system is now (partly) up and running. After trying out 4 (!) cases, I finally found one, that suits my needs regarding silence and built quality and as well fits my h110. You may notice, that there's currently no GPU installed and only 4gb of ram, the graphics...

    2014 Hackintosh Build Compatibility

This looks pretty similar to my build, except I'll will get a GTX 780 since you're bottlenecking the CPU a little otherwise, I got an GA Z87X and went with the Corsair H110 in a Bitfenix Ronin (from which I will now switch to the h440 due to the fact, that Bitfenix Support lied to my and the...

How to Update Your Gigabyte Motherboard's BIOS

Just FYI, the 4790k works without any issues. Even with the F6 BIOS, I had no problem updating the BIOS (via q-flash), although I noticed that the temperature was about 15°C higher with the F6 BIOS in comparison to the F9 BIOS. Greetings

How to Update Your Gigabyte Motherboard's BIOS

That's good news, thanks unfortunately, I'm still in the building progress, my CPU will ship next week, the GPU a little later, so I wasn't sure, if it's possible to even get into the BIOS with said CPU, or if it refuses to work at all w/o the update. Greetings

How to Update Your Gigabyte Motherboard's BIOS

Hi, thanks for the guide, really good to see so much information out here! I recently began building my own rig (click here for details) and decided not to go for the 4770k but for the 4790k, since the price is almost the same, but recently got told, that I would need to update my BIOS version...

    Core i7 4770k + Zotac GTX 770 + Corsair Vengeance

A little question regarding the liquid cooling loop, do you think, the NZXT X61 Kraken will work without issues? This cooler sounds especially interesting because it has a variable speed waterpump, since I'm planning on going for quiet operation and haven't chosen a cooler yet, this thing...

    Core i7 4770k + Zotac GTX 770 + Corsair Vengeance

Thanks, didn't know this with the RAM, but the latest build guide I watched was with Lion or ML I think so good to know :D Yes I got it pretty much figured out, here's the rest of the parts (my thought in the first post was just to keep it short and so I reduced it to the components that I...

    Core i7 4770k + Zotac GTX 770 + Corsair Vengeance

Hi, I'm new here but read quite a lot about hackintosh and also watched many tutorials on how to build your own, as I am a student and therefore don't have that big of a budget to buy myself a MacPro, but need it for video/audio editing since my MacBook Pro just melts when I just try to render...
