What’s your setup? Are you using a GPU or onboard graphics for video?

    << Solved >> Can't boot using iGPU

Thanks for the reply. I was able to start from scratch by using OpenCore, using iMac 18,1 SMBIOS. All working good so far! Thanks for the help

    << Solved >> Can't boot using iGPU

I've tried to post a reply here yesterday, but something seems to have blocked the message. Anyway, I was able to boot using the iGPU into HS, but the screen was all glitchy and very demanding processor-wise, specially as time goes by since the boot. In the first 5 minutes, it's all "usable"...

@JCMunsonII I'll try that! I have already opened up a topic in the Post-install > Graphics forum and I've been able to advance in baby steps. Anyway, thanks for replying!

    << Solved >> Can't boot using iGPU

Thanks for that! I was already checking out the WhateverGreen.kext Intel HD FAQ, but I don't understand much of what's written there...so I'm taking baby steps here. What I did, and worked (a little), was physically removing the Nvidia card. I was able to reach my desktop, but then every window...

No, I'm running High Sierra, that's the last OS with Nvidia support.

    << Solved >> Can't boot using iGPU

Yes, yes! I just mentioned the new behavior, because even using the mobo's HDMI, it still did not boot. The only way I'm able to reach my desktop, is by connecting the monitor to the GPU HDMI. That's something I did not think of doing! Thanks for the insight. I'll try that and the boot arg.

    << Solved >> Can't boot using iGPU

I've updated my BIOS settings and turned on iGPU Multi-Monitor. Primary Display option was already on. Still didn't do the trick. The only thing that changed is that now, when I boot using Nvidia HDMI, everything is black until my desktop shows. So there's no MOBO status screen, no Clover boot...

Yes, I edited! Sorry...the boot arg is "-disablegfxfirmware" and not "-disablegfx" I'll check that, return as soon as possible...thanks

    << Solved >> Can't boot using iGPU

Oops, forgot to upload the EFI folder...here it goes Yes...honestly, I don't even remember why it's there. All was working fine, because since day 1, I never booted using the iGPU HDMI. Oh, it's a RX 6700 XT, but that's a problem for the future...because I won't be able to use it either, for...

    << Solved >> Can't boot using iGPU

Hi everyone! So, the time has come for an update on my lil'old Hack. I use a Nvidia GTX 1080 as my GPU, and I purchased a AMD card to replace it. Of course, I'm still running HS 10.13.6, and planning to update it to Big Sur. Now, to start with the update procedure, I changed my HDMI cable to...
