Greetings! I need advice.
Still fighting to run my 450G2 with OC 0.8.8 & Monty smooth, but I have strange boot problems:
After hard reset/restart I have few early reboots in early kernel stage - few lines of verbose output after DSMOS - randomly. Looks like EC problems, no error in verbose...
Hi again!
Finally I get the Monterey up and running on HP 450G2, but startup is inconsistent (few kernel stage reboots before eventual successful boot). I think that it is connected with my question:
How to apply required patches to fix RTC, shutdown, reboots etc using OpenCore approach...
And that was the point - the PlatformInfo section of config.plist ! Thank you very much!
I was confused by Dortania OC Guide - somewhat inconsistent between many pages about not deleting unused entries of plist.
Also there was CustomSMBIOSGuid enabled which prevents Monterey installing on APFS...
AFAIK OpenCore generates SMBIOS data with <Generic> - that's my proper SMBIOS data - that's why MacBookPro12,1.
Should I delete/empty DataHub, Memory, PlatformNVRAM and SMBIOS entries ?
Greetings!
Long time hackintosher here, wen't through each 10.x, now on BigSur on this very HP Probook 450G2. Wanted to upgrade to Monterey 12.5 but reality is harsh. I cannot boot to installer using attached EFI - early reboot after MAC Framework initialized - at random line after, no specific...
Bluetooth not waking from sleep - probably USB power related issue. With proper USB config & BrcmPatchRam it *should* wake... Have you tried other USB devices? Did they woke up properly ?
Yeah!!!
RehabMan, with your priceless guidance I successfully updated to HighSierra, and its even better than ElCap!
HP ProBook 450G2 (1920x1080), Broadwell, BCM94360HMB (AW CB160H) 2.4/5GHz, 240GB SSD (Transcend MTS240).
Again, following LITERALLY & PRECISELY commands from guide makes it work...
I just did it for UX305CA and got it to work.
Requirements:
1. Ability to patch DSDT (without it - don't even bother - you cannot succeed) - MaciASL (Rehabman version used here)
2. Having your DSDT.dsl for actual working hackintosh (patched properly)
3. It is easier when you can identify ACPI...
Ok, so here's the gathered intel.
Fn indeed doesn't generate scancode - modified VoodooPS2Controller.kext (I had to go back to XCode5.1.1 to compile it (macosx10.8 SDK) ;) didn't reveal any surprises.
What I know from there are scancodes for :
keydown : e050=7d
keyup : e048=7e
pageup : e049=74...
Is there a way to check it on vanilla S/L/E ? But I doubt Fn key generates scancode - I didn't observe such behavior on apps...
Can I use Karabiner to do such remap? I've installed it but didn't find specific complex rule...
