I know it's rather old, but my ASUS P6T (X58) mainboard is missing.
It's not the SE, Deluxe, V2 editions - just at plain P6T.
Would you add it, please? Thank you :)
This build reminds me of the time when I started digging into Hackintosh. Cool build indeed!
Tony, may I ask why you decided to go with the Mac Pro 3,1 system definition? Isn't it closer to a Mac Pro 5,1 hardware wise?
Also: Have you been able to go El Capitan Clover style on this bad boy...
Just realized that I made typo. It should be "But most Macs came with a DVI-I (not DVI-D) port (either regular or mini) which supported VGA conversion." Sorry for the confusion!
DVI-A: Only analog
DVI-D: Only digital
DVI-I: Both analog and digital
So the bottom line is: If the port is...
Thank you for all your suggestions! For the last few days I've really been digging into the topic, but I really can't find the thread of consistency in this. It seems that it's best to just pick a card and try it out, and then return the card if it's not working properly. Your odds should be...
Can't see why the DVI to VGA adapter thing wouldn't work. It's really not a question of software support but rather a question of whether your graphics card has an DVI-I (or DVI-A) port. DVI-I sends out both an analog and a digital signal and would thereby support a DVI to VGA adapter. A DVI-D...
Looks like a pretty solid build IMO. The only thing that worries me, is the graphics card. I don't know much about Avid and it's ability to utilize GPU, but it other video editing software like Adobe Premiere and Apple FCPX does that. When it comes to GPU rendering you really can't buy a...
Hi guys!
My older ASUS GTX 470 "Fermi" card is starting to do some random artifacts which normally ends with a epic kernel panic/crash. Happens in both Windows and OS X btw! So, I need a new graphics card for my hackintosh and from my own research, it looks like I'm should with a Nvidia GTX...
I have done it a thousand (or at least a dozen of) times with SD/CF-card and a card reader. It was a regular non-hack USB-installer for my real MacBook Pro, though. Can't see why it would be any different with the with UniBeast. Why not give a go? ;)
Just to sure, you do remember to hit F5 at the iBoot screen after inserting the SL install disc, right? After that you should see the "Mac OS X Install DVD" pop up instead of iBoot. Hit that one ;)
What are your system specs btw?
EDIT:
Didn't see your spec in your profile... damn :p
You should...
Okay, after ALOT of research I finally fixed it.
The slow access was due to some IRQ conflict between SATA and HPET - IRQ2 need to be free for HPET to use. This is trick is done through modding the DSDT.
Lucky for me, some guys already did the coding, and "all" I had to do was to make iBoot...
Hey guys!
Thank you all for this great community!
This week i decided to give iBoot a try, and after a lot of reading, tweaking and trying i succesfully made my PC boot the Mac OS-X disc. But when I open the Disk Utility everything starts to "hang" for a couple of minutes. It's like the...
