I have the same card and have run it in a Haswell and Ivy Bridge system on Mojave and experienced the same behavior...seems to be normal. I'm pretty sure I've had it happen booting into Windows 10 as well.
Nice, looks like great progress
Mine shows up as RX 480 as well in Clover...I don't think that's an issue. It should still show properly in the OS once booted.
Now once you get Lilu+WhateverGreen to load you should be set
If you can get the system to boot with some kind of graphics, you can use the Hackintool (formerly Intel FB-Patcher) to see if the kexts are loaded-see attached picture.
I have moved all 3rd party kexts to /System/Extensions as recommended here and have had no issues. Previously, I had all...
Have you tried it without the RadeonDeInit flag? I'm using that card in Mojave and it works great with Lilu+WhateverGreen and no flags or options enabled related to graphics in Clover.
As a side note, I do get a black screen on my setup when Lilu+WhateverGreen fail to load. I'd make sure...
I followed this guide today and was able to get my ports working in Mojave 10.14.2. I previously had followed the guide that you had linked to when I was running High Sierra but wanted to update to the latest method. Using the FB Patcher was much easier IMO and, when you are done, you just...
I'm just an amateur but I have been running a Haswell hack for a while now and have learned quite a bit. First thing that stands out to me...are you running the 750Ti in it still? There is no support for that (or any Nvidia newer than Kepler) in Mojave. I would remove that and try to get it...
Thanks for checking! I wonder if it is something weird with this Intel board...not many people run this model it seems. Did you have to do any FB Patching besides the platform ID?
Does your BIOS let you pick what the primary graphics adapter is or is it just on or off?
I have a similar Haswell system and have been trying to do the same thing as you and get the iGPU and dGPU working in harmony. I had the exact system configuration @jaymonkey mentioned working and everything seemed to be great except I couldn't play Netflix in Safari nor could I play iTunes...
Interesting...i've been chasing this same issue for a while now. Just updated Lilu and WhateverGreen to recheck and still no Netflix in Safari. Could you please share what SMBIOS and platform id are you using? Are you running Mojave?
I've been investigating/fighting this over the past few days on my build. I'm running Mojave 10.14.2 and I was beginning to think it was a Haswell/HD4600 thing but it looks like you are having problems with this on a newer system as well. For now I just disabled the iGPU since I mostly do...
I would like to confirm that the graphics glitches I was encountering after upgrading to High Sierra went away after enabling the onboard Intel graphics. Thanks for the info!
