    Open Core and Clonezilla

I am asking whether Clonezilla or Rescuezilla can back up and restore a Windows 10 partition in a multiple boot system based on Open Core. I currently have an elderly Hackintosh that uses Clover, and Clonezilla has been exceptionally helpful. Thanks for looking.

appstore and itunes store suddenly broken

I wanted to mention that I get ALL of the issues mentioned in your initial post if I use any version of Whatevergreen.kext newer than 1.3.4 in my EFI/Clover/kexts. 1.3.5 and all higher break both iTunes and the MacOS App Store - errors -42408 and -50, and no way to update installed Mac OS apps.

iTunes Error (-42408) and App Store Errors

I have the identical issues mentioned in your initial post, if I attempt to use Whatevergreen.kext newer than version 1.3.4. As long as I stay with 1.3.4 in my EFI/Clover/kexts, no error -42408, no problems signing in, and the Mac App Store is fine. I know about the problem with the iTunes iOS...

An iDiot's Guide To Lilu and its Plug-ins

OK, I understand what you are saying about the release date of WEG 1.3.5, but Unibeast 8.4, for High Sierra 10.13, contains WEG 1.3.7 - a few months newer. There is no such thing as Music or Apple TV in High Sierra, and there will never be. High Sierra is all about iTunes. Unibeast and...

An iDiot's Guide To Lilu and its Plug-ins

I am having an issue with any version of WEG newer than 1.3.4. My system has been running well, but I decided to download the most current version of Unibeast for High Sierra 10.13.6, create a USB installer, and use some of the drivers and kexts in my existing EFI partition. The system was...

    Guide: Dell XPS 8500

Hello! I wondered how your XPS 8500 is running and whether you have attempted installing Mac OS Catalina. And, returning to Mojave, did you create your installer and install using Unibeast? I am now running High Sierra with no apparent issues, but High Sierra is right on the brink of being...

Radeon RX 4XX/5XX standalone system, AMDRadeonX4250.kext (GVA support H264) does not support HEVC HW

Hi. I have a Dell XPS 8500, so am definitely interested that you got yours running with Catalina. Mine is running High Sierra, which is about to become unsupported. I am currently using its Dell OEM AMD Radeon HD 7770. I would be interested in a few more details. Did you use Unibeast to prepare...

    [Success] High Sierra (10.13.2) on MSI B75A-G43, Radeon HD7770, i3-3220, IntelB75, Ivy-Bridge, 7er S

Thanks for your guide. I had, for whatever reason, relatively good luck with Sierra, but with High Sierra, the installation process would finish, but I would end up with a black screen, even with Lilu & Whatevergreen. My PC is a Dell XPS 8500 - the HD 7770 is the Dell OEM 2 GB version. For me...

    Guide: Dell XPS 8500

When you said your system was so unstable in High Sierra, was that mostly referring to graphics/ video card issues, and what led you to think Mojave could be a better choice for the Dell? Thanks

    Guide: Dell XPS 8500

Thanks for the info. My Dell WiFi card is model DW1703. I've got the WiFi end of things working using information from here:https://github.com/chunnann/ATH9KFixup, and got the actual Kext from here:Kext zip. To get it to work reliably, I had to put Lilu and the kext into S/L/E - not into Clover...

    Guide: Dell XPS 8500

Delighted to hear you made it all the way to Mojave, and that your USB issues have vanished. I have excellent USB performance - all ports front, back and top, and the 2 USB 3 ports are recognized and are "up to speed". My unit is working great on Sierra, but Ive run into a brick wall trying to...

    Guide: Dell XPS 8500

I just did some testing on my system. Both USB 3 back ports work too, and a USB 3 device ends up on the USB 3 bus in System Information. The audio out on the top works fine - I do have to choose headphones as my output device. As mentioned above Bluetooth isn't working. I may try one thing with it.

    Guide: Dell XPS 8500

I haven’t checked speed on my back USB 3 ports. Nor have I checked front audio. I’ll let you know what I find. On your back USB 3 - did you try a large file transfer to verify it was better than a USB 2 port? I checked my front ones with an external USB 3 drive and a 6 GB file, compared to USB 3...

    Guide: Dell XPS 8500

I should also have reiterated that I just used "Install Mac OS Sierra" and createinstallmedia in Terminal, plus Clover and Clover Configurator.

    Guide: Dell XPS 8500

Yes, I can, over time. How comfortable are you with using Clover Configurator to edit the config.plist in your EFI partition? Have you tried just using the kext named USBInjectall yet? That one got me USB 2 on all ports, I'm pretty sure. But no USB 3.
