I'm curious how these improvements translate to other uses such as video editing.
There's some mention of it, but I'm wondering if my build would see a tangible improvement in editing.
Also wondering if the proper values this adds could fix my issue of dropped frames in premiere while plugged...
For anyone in the future that finds this. The PCI adapter linked above with the BCM94360CS2 worked for me out of box with both bluetooth and wifi on 10.15.4 Opencore 0.5.7.
Most of my projects get rendered to prores from HEVC iPhone 4k 60 without effects. If anything its usually just lumetri.
At this point I've become obsessed with trying getting the IGPU working and quicksync working in premiere but have gotten stuck.
I seem to be able to get the IGPU to show up...
My current setup is in my profile. Attempting to get bluetooth working for airdrop. Don't really need wifi.
I may have jumped the gun and ordered the BCM94360CS2 card. As I'm learning, I don't believe the m.2 adapters for this card will work in my boards m.2 slots.
So I'm searching for a pcie...
With Cuda recently removed from Premiere Pro, I see no reason to stick with NVIDIA, 10.13.6, and my 1070SC.
Could those with experience weigh in on different GPU options for Premiere Pro in 2020?
I’ve seen videos comparing the 2080 and 5700XT for video rendering and see they are very close...
I used a macbook to install OSX to the USB by selecting the USB as the installation destination.
I don't know if it is advisable, but it worked and was more convenient than clearing my drive and reinstalling OSX to it.
Solved this issue by installing High Sierra to a USB, then replacing my entire existing Extensions folder with that from the USB.
Before this I went through my CLOVER folder and removed unnecessary kext files.
After replacing Extensions, I rebooted with remaining kext files and ethernet worked...
I am attempting to upgrade my High Sierra system using the Asus Strix z390-E Gaming, and a 9900k.
After some trial and error swapping out EFI folders with the EFI of a clone of my previous High Sierra install, I can boot into OSX and I have what appears to be normal function other than the...
Solved. For anyone in the future...There was an incorrect setting in the BIOS causing the hang.
Correct setting is
Advanced>PCH Storage Configuration> SATA Mode Selection > AHCI
I've continued to try to eliminate possible causes for this and have gotten nowhere.
No matter what EFI folder configuration I've tried, it still comes to the same stop.
I had a running High Sierra build with the currently listed parts on my profile.
Bought and upgraded to an Asus Strix z390-E Gaming and 9900K. I've attempted to replace the EFI folders on my working drive with proven EFI folders for this motherboard I found on the site, but obviously I don't...
Sorry for another reply, I did get everything up and running.
The only thing that isn't working is sleep/wake. It will go to sleep with fans off but when trying to wake nothing happens after everything starts back up and the monitor does not wake up.
Booted into a fresh install direct from SDD no problem.
I have audio options in sys preferences but audio is not working and ethernet isn't working either. I had ethernet working on a previous attempt using something from your post install files but can't remember what specifically.
USB Ports do...
Thank you so much, will try asap. I have been attempting this with a normal HD and had issues with no EFI partition showing up in the boot menu so I had to boot from the USB every time. I will be reinstalling fresh to a SSD, is there anything I should know to prevent/fix this? I could not find...
I've been struggling majorly trying to get the Gigabyte z390 Gaming X up and running.
Was able to get 10.13.6 installed but cannot figure out multibeast settings what so ever.
Can't seem to find a successful build thread so if anyone can point me to a successful multibeast settings list that is...
