@phunguss
I don't know if you've read my replies yet or not, but just in case ?:
I would really like to know what you find out.
It's more than a little possible that I will find out something doesn't work as expected and your discoveries may illuminate the way...

and even further down the rabbit hole, and no 'shrooms' to soften the ride...
And in a moment of "WtF !", I moved the HDMI cable from "outside" most HDMI port to the "inner" port, and tried again, and I'm typing this after a successful wake from sleep.
Is it just possible that one of the HDMI...
further:
I've been poking around in the EFI/EFI/CLOVER/config.plist and I see a few references to HDMI (kinda)
Under:
ACPI : DSDT : #DropOEM_DSM : HDMI = True
ACPI : DSDT : Fixes : AddHDMI = False
Devices : UseIntelHDMI = False
Should I try editing these ?
If there was only one, I'd try but...
Thanks @phunguss
I've been using the Clover that comes with MultiBeast 10.4.0, which is Clover EFI v2.4k r4630.
Thinking it might be "kext related" I've tried most recent builds of Lilu v1.4.9 & WhateverGreen v1.4.4
(Thinking WhateverGreen might be the culprit ?)
Replacing the Lilu &...
Hi
I first "constructed" this Hackintosh a couple of years ago, and promptly went back to my Mac Pro cause I needed FireWire, and I was unable to get a suitable FW card... :(
Anyway, the Mac Pro decided to "cark it" :( today, and I'm trying to get my Hack2 back up and running.
The setup is...
My setup:
GA-H87N-Wifi rev:1.1
(Haswell) Intel Core i3-4340 3.60 GHz (& Intel HD Graphics 4600)
DDR3-1600 8GB x 2
High Sierra, 10.13.6
Attempting to solve an inability to successfully sleep. hack2 was going to sleep, and seconds later waking.
(This happened both when I allowed hack2 to go to...
@M0KUJINKEN
Hi, I'm using a GA-H87N-WiFi and High Sierra and was wondering if you have/had issues(s) getting your rig to sleep ?
I ask as your Z87N-WiFi and my H87N-WiFi are similar ?
These are the MultiBeast options I have installed:
Multibeast 10.4.0
Clover UEFI Boot Mode...
Accidentally figured out the solution (I hope)
Turns out I needed to add: Drivers>Misc>Core Graphics Fixup AKA WhateverGreen (includes Lilu.kext)
in MultiBeast.
I accidentally discovered this after attempting to solve the issue(s) I had with Safari:
from...
I'm getting a "spontaneous" reboot on sleep on my GA-H87N-WiFi, i3-4340 3.60 GHz, High Sierra 10.13.6 (2 displays using) IGFX & HDMI & F9 BIOS
(I've scanned many pages in the HS Desktop Support section but didn't see any one reporting/solving a similar issue)
Setup:
Multibeast 10.4.0
Clover...
wstrohm, I'm still on El Cap, because I only use this Hackintosh for watching TV.
(and I like my stories.....)
At some point I must investigate & learn about SSDTs, but at the moment, my personal life is rather chaotic and I'd rather not break Hack2 at the moment....
wstrohm: I didn't because I was too afraid that I was going to break my Hackintosh.
The levels of cleverness needed to vaguely understand SSDTs is beyond me.
I know this thread has been dormant for a while, but has anyone gotten any further in diagnosing why we need to disable "Put hard disks to sleep when possible" in System Preferences>Energy Saver> ?
