    [Updated] wildwillow's Haswell Build: GA-Z87X-OC - i7-4770K - HD4600+GT 640

Hey ColdCross, I am running a similar build as wildwillow's except the Radeon R9 280X 3GB reverted back to OS X 10.9.5. Also tried El Cap on another fresh SSD. (I skipped Yosemite altogether knowing whatever comes after will be a more refined OS X (think Leopard>Snow Leopard, Lion> Mountain...

    AMD Radeon Graphics?

Is your R9 290x working without a hitch? OOB? From my experience (HD5770 & HD6870), if you managed to find a compatible AMD/ATi Radeon graphics card, it tends to work without a hitch.

    4770k @ 4.5Ghz on Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD4H [SUCCESS]

FusionDrive (HDD + SSD) or SSHD

depends on usage, there probably won't be any noticeable difference when used as boot drive Just a tip off, the Fusion Drive will stutter if you are streaming media off it. For example, your recording footage will stutter you decide to copy & paste to another drive (another access) My Fusion...

    nVidia GeForce GTX770, but 4GB

Hi, I am wondering if the GeForce GTX770 4GB is compatible without additional DSDT/.kext editing? The nVidia GeForce GTX770 comes with 2GB graphics memory by default. I noticed some factories also offer GTX770 with 4GB graphics memory. For example, this EVGA GTX770 4GB...

New mini ITX build for photographer daughter

Wouldn't recommend an ITX built necessarily unless saving space is high on the list of factors and concerns. ITX boards usually have reduced number of SATA sockets (4 only, 5 if you count the eSATA and manage to get it to work). But since your daughter were asking for a Mac Pro in the first...
