Yes! Luckily there are a stack of correctly compiled SSDTs here:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-el-capitan-on-the-skylake-h170n-wifi.178197/#SSDT
I've solved this problem using this post https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/usb-new-raise-port-limit-patch-for-macos-10-12-sierra.202329/
Perhaps it could work for you?
This has sorted my lack of USB 3 ports showing on Gigabyte board. Only slight issue is ejectin drives/usb sticks usually leads to a crash/freeze.
Anyway. Thanks!
Same here, though it's a different MB.
Have tried re-installing the increase port limit patch in multibeast, but it made no difference.
USB 2 works fine. No USB 3 ports show up in system report, the attached image shows USB 3. But the ports it is using are infact USB 2!
Thanks for any help!
Have I implemented this correctly? (see attached screenshot) The glitches are still showing on my Gigabyte H170M-DS3H.
Thanks!
SORTED - edited it using a config from the first page a template :D
Now going to turbo after finding the SSDTs listed here! http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-el-capitan-on-the-skylake-h170n-wifi.178197/#SSDT
I obviously wasn't compiling my own correctly.
No luck with DVD drive yet, but that's not a deal breaker by any means :D
I've just completed my first build since the venerable Customac Mini 2011. Basing your system around the skylake processors/boards is much, much easier!
I have two small problems that I would like to iron out.

I've got good news for you. I managed to get this system working perfectly using Multibeast (I don't believe you need to do that nasty Clover post install stuff now).
Make sure you have the latest version of multi beast and go to Tony's post here...
My Gigabyte H67N-usb3 seems to be faulty, so I'm looking to replace it.
I know it's quite an old board, it's not freely available anymore.
So I'm looking for an inexpensive 1155 board to work with my current processor and memory etc...
Any tips? Brand isn't important, it just needs to...
I will have a look at the ALC patch again, when time allows. I'll post again with the results. I still suspect my config.plist needs a bit of editing to get it working. Tony's config off the front page seems to be enabled for HDMI.
I worked through that SSDT guide, but didn't get many states...
Okay, so now it's clear that the Legacy Root method and Multibeast 8.0 will not work with these old 6 series Motherboards.
This guide has got my system running with two issues.
1- I have no sound. The ALC patch from the main guide runs, but upon reboot nothing appears to have happened...
Success!
If in doubt, go back to beginning
Now I just need a SSDT for my processor and working sound.
Am I right in thinking tonymac's config is for hdmi audio?
Thanks all!
