Thanks for the heads up on the potential stability issues with ethernet and audio. I already use the 3.1 profile I had a similar stability issue in Lion without it :).
Thanks, I'm gonna give it a shot.
The sleep issue could be BIOS related, due to an issue detecting pressing the delete/F12 key during boot up gigabyte recommended I update to the F18 BIOS which solved that issue, but I could never get OSX to wake from sleep after that.
With regards to...
Sorry iSpite, I stopped subscribing to updates on this post when I added the solution.
I enjoy the keyboard a lot best one I have ever owned. Had no issues in either OSX or Windows since updating my motherboard bios to F18. I haven't played around with the macro buttons at all in OSX I still...
This sounds like an old well known issue where windows expects the BIOS time in local time and OSX/Linux expect it as UTC. There are a couple of solutions listed here:

While I haven't used the RealTimeIsUniversal Registry...
Trying to work out how big of a headache it will be :). My current hackintosh is still running Lion 10.7.4. I've read that someone people got this mobo fully working for Mountain Lion, myself I was never able to get Wake from Sleep or the on-board audio working (I use USB audio so that was never...
FYI, after some discussion with Gigabyte technical support this is fixed in a later bios update for the GA-7ZZ-D3H, the problem went away after I updated the bios from F12 to F18.
Hi Guys,
Anyone else out there using a mechanical keyboard? Have you noticed any problems with the keyboard being detected during boot up? I've just got a Gigabyte Aivia Osmium, and while it works fine once OSX has started I can't use it to access the BIOS or choose an alternative OS (dual...
Just got one of these myself, easiest thing I've ever installed.
Works out of the box in Lion 10.7.4, Win7 took longer as driver installation was required.

For me it was 'CPU EIST Function' had to be Disabled. I also had to explicitly enable Intel Turbo Boost, originally both were set to Auto under 'M.I.T' > 'Advanced Frequency Settings' > 'Advanced CPU Core Features'.

It was a BIOS setting, I'm getting the overclock recognized fully now, only thing left is to get the speed stepping to work a little better (currently only switches between x16 or x44 multipilers).

Ok, so after some fidgeting with my BIOS settings, I have managed to get Lion (10.7.4) to recognize my overclock, but it's still only switching between two multipliers (now x16 or x44).
I have a SSDT modified from the Multibeast Overclocked one with additional p-states all the way up to 44...
Thanks Mieze, no problems with the new DSDT, tho I still haven't my wake from sleep working, I don't think it has anything to do with the DSDT so will keep playing with the settings.
For anyone thinking of using the DSDT my BIOS version is F12.

Ok, thanks i'll have a play with the amount of shared RAM, I have a feeling it's currently set to 64MB but i'll try changing this and see what happens.
We are using a different version of DSDT Editor, I'm using 0.8. But will try re-downloading incase the file is somehow damaged.

It works! Well boots successfully.
I tried the sleep function, after checking the 'Allow power button to put computer to sleep' option was ticked in System Preferences. It puts the machine to sleep, but i can't wake it up :( - never mind, not a big problem.
I also noticed there is still an...
Thanks Mieze!
What's the best way to test this? install with Multibeast? or will dropping it in /Extra and repairing disk permissions before reboot be sufficient?
If I get a kernel panic, can it revert back to the current setup by removing it from /Extra?
