OKAY, IT'S FIXED! (I think?) Can't confirm whether it works well or not, but Ethernet is now showing up in my system info!! :) I'm pretty sure I was just totally overthinking it and assuming that the kext in MultiBeast wouldn't work and that I needed something older to match my motherboard... I...

So you think there's no hope for the on-board Ethernet? Anything else I could try? I'm not sure if I have space for another card in my case, I'd have to check...

Okay- thanks!! And to uninstall the old kext before trying this one, what would you recommend? I followed this guide to uninstall before, and the kextunload command didn't work (errored out), so I just removed it using the rm command. Is that okay...

At this point, I just want Ethernet to appear in the system, it doesn't actually have to be fully functional (I use wifi because of where the router is situated) Maybe I will try to install one of the options in MultiBeast and see how that goes...
