The Fenvi card that I have has antennas that are attached to te card and protrude out the back of the case. The Dell DW1560 card, for example, has no antennas attached to the card. How does that work?
OK, Install macOS Ventura file and the EFI folder are now on the USB device. The next thing is to finish the re-assembly of the computer and then boot up from the USB device.
One other thing:
I installed a Fenvi FV-T919 previously. I was never happy with it as it would connect, but would...
Seeing as how it is supposed to run on Mac Minis back to 2018, that suggests that there would have to be an Intel version.
Question:
When they do a new operating system, such as going from Catalina to Big Sur, Big Sur to Monterey, etc. does the old end move forward by only one year? If that is...
Seems like the next thing to do is the EFI bits and pieces. Going to have to defer that for a bit as my wife wants her machine back! About the USB drive, The Ventura installer is almost 12Gb. I thought I saw somewhere on this site about using a device larger than 16Gb. due to the growing size of...
To tell you the truth, I've bounced across 3-4 pages, so I'm not really sure. I think the only thing missing was the nointeraction part. Anyway steps are:
Erased the /Volumes/Untitled USB drive (external device)
Copying essential files
Copying the macOS RecoveryOS
Making disk bootable
Copying...

It is creating the bootable USB device now.
However, I just noticed that it didn't have that "No Interaction" at the end of the command string. Is that a problem?
Curious...
It seems to have taken the Password. I did a Cut & Paste for the sudo command, but after /createinstallmedia: it returns command not found. I seem to remember something like this happening with Catalina, but that was 2+ years ago and I don't remember what the fix was.
Next Steps?
Ah, that seems more like it. What struck me was how would the OS know where to look for the defined folders such as Documents, Downloads, Applications, etc. I would think that Migration Assistant redefines where those folders reside with the updated arrangement.
One point that may change...
A bit of an update…
Originally I was concerned that I would have to remove that monster-sized CPU cooler (be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4) in order to install the additional OLOy memory cards. Turns out that this was not necessary. Removing the outboard fan allowed just enough room to get the new...
Just happened to see this on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN6HHP3Y/?tag=tonymacx86com-20
Howver, the one that I bought from BestBuy is:
Makes me wonder if they are different models…
Edit: They ARE different models. The actual brand of the Amazon one is Cuifati and it is clocked...
It seems that as this card has been out for a while. The references that turned up in searches seemed pretty dated. However, I contacted Tech Support for XFX and the card was manufactured in November of 2022...
