when I loaded the ...fixup.kext and it didn't work, google told me that I needed to NOT ENABLE the AirportBrcmFixup.kext/Contents/Plugins/AirportBrcm4360_Injector kext. Leave the other two ENABLED. I did that and my wifi is working fine. good luck.

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I have been conducting experiments on flashing my Alpine Ridge AIC v. 2 with several different firmware versions. my practice is to always read 3 times after flashing and confirm that the checksum from the 3 reads is the same as the firmware I just flashed. before I flash a different firmware...

are you sure you have config-lock disabled in bios? on F9i the default is enabled, so you need to go into bios settings and disable it. then save and exit. also, as another poster suggested, turn on verbose boot in your config.plist boot arguments and tell us where the boot stalls.

Somewhere on page 1 of this thread, there should be info about using a USB splitter that plugs into the motherboard USB header. Also, you can just search on Amazon to find one.

Sleep: my system will sleep when I force it from the apple menu, but not based on the sleep setting in system preferences--energy saver. my apple TB display sleeps after the proper interval, but the system continues to run. the only USB device plugged in currently is the BT on my Fenvi card...

Are you on BIOS 9g or higher, with cfg lock disabled in the Boot section of bios? (In 9g it's disabled by default; in 9i you need to disable it.)

I have had 2 bad experiences with Migration Assistant, as have others here. my belief is that some system files are migrated from old to new system, which of course isn't supposed to happen. if it were me, I would do another fresh install of Catalina on your new drive, then manually transfer...

Good detective work! There is also a known issue of interference of USB3 devices and Bluetooth. I have a NUC Hackintosh. the BT dongle would not work when plugged into the usb3 port, but does work with a 1-foot USB extension cable. Here is one article...
