Never mind, I got it. I just copied the EFI partition from the flash drive to the EFI partition of the hard drive. Thank you so FRICKING much for all of the help! you're awesome. :) 15 year old me is happy to now have a mac for my work

I have installed macos and I am up to the part about disabling hibernate. The problem I am having is that the bios doesn't detect the hard drive as bootable. Do i need to keep the flash drive in forever? i installed clover on the hard drive

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i made it into the macos installer screen... the config.plist didnt transfer over when i copied the efi folder from my backup on my desktop.

Is this a kernel panic? Is boot verbose -v? Do I just keep retrying?

After booting and selecting the flashdrive, i get a solid apple logo and no loading bar or indicator. its been sitting like this for like 30 minutes. I re-tried multiple times and i did the whole install process on a different flash drive. It's just a solid apple logo.

this is exactily what I did but i used sudo "/Applications/Install macOS Mojave.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia" --volume /Volumes/install_osx --nointeraction instead. Is the EFI partition supposed to be completely serperate? I thought it was just a folder...
