[Solved] Dell Optiplex 7040 SFF, can't reach installer

Ok, I'm stuck at the same spot. I've tried that config and it doesn't work. Intel graphics are being injected. Getting the same exact AppleIntelSKLGraphicsFramebuffer crash and reboot issue.

That line is in my Clover config on the USB drive.

[Solved] Dell Optiplex 7040 SFF, can't reach installer

First article of this thread. https://goo.gl/photos/ffiGGysghzkkcrMw8 I have my BIOS pretty much like that. I can get to CLOVER, and when I boot, it crashes. I can never get to the installer. I think it might have something to do with the USB port not working when it starts booting off the...

[Solved] Dell Optiplex 7040 SFF, can't reach installer

I'm trying to get a 7040 SFF running 10.12. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? I set my bios like the beginning of this thread, but I can't get it to make it to the installer. Thanks

What Version of OS X is your Computer Running?

Hmm, stuck at 10.9 until I get a video card. The board my hackintosh runs doesn't like 10.10 or 10.11 very much at all.

    Stork's Zorro Build: Z68X-UD3H - i7-2600K - HD3000

Wait, so you got 10.11 installed using the built in graphics? I spent several hours trying to get my Z68X-UD3H board upgraded to 10.11 and the Unibeast installer never finishes loading. Was there something you did to the Unibeast installer? Could you post your steps when you did this...

    Stork's Zorro Build: Z68X-UD3H - i7-2600K - HD3000

So, I've given up on trying to get 10.10.3 on my machine. It doesn't work at all. I have the 12 bios installed. I can get a Unibeast stick to boot, and install, but the resulting install is messed up. The built in graphics don't seem to be supported, and trying to boot with more the 8Gigs of ram...

    Upgrading Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 to 10.10 from 10.9.5

Actually, I found that moving back to Award Bios from UEFI was a lot better for me. UEFI was nothing but trouble on my system. I pretty much have my system stable now using F12 bios, and 10.10.1. I'm just awaiting another 1TB drive to redo my fusion drive and I think I'll be back up and stable.

    Upgrading Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 to 10.10 from 10.9.5

Yeah, 10.10.1 is just not installing on my system. I am reverting back to 10.9.5.

    Upgrading Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 to 10.10 from 10.9.5

Ok, I think I'm making some progress here. I updated the bios to uefi. Not 100% sure I have all the bios settings correct. I installed 10.10 again over an existing clone, and noticed that the older stuff in /Extra wasn't right and was giving me boot issues (like an immediate crash). Redid...

    Upgrading Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 to 10.10 from 10.9.5

Is it that big of a difference? Also, how would one upgrade the bios......

    Upgrading Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 to 10.10 from 10.9.5

I have a Hackintosh that is running 10.9.5 on a GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 board with bios 9. It has been ROCK SOLID. It also has a fusion drive done with one of the guides here as well. The machine has been solid. However, I cannot get it to upgrade to 10.10 at all. I've tried Unibeast. It goes stuck...

    OS X 10.9.3 Update

Anyone try this with a Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 using the build in graphics? Especially if the dual monitor (DVI and HDMI) still work right? I installed this on a MacPro (2008 real MacPro) and it killed the dual display ability on it. Seems to be a rampant bug in 10.9.3.

    OS X 10.9.2 Update

Ugh, so the initial update was good. Used the latest multi beast to reinstall stuff, used the DSDT for my board (bios 9 I think). Added the sound drivers (889). Installed. Reboot.... Now it's hung on the grey Apple. Something in Multibeast bonked it. Any ideas? GB Z68X-UD3H-B3 board.

Have You Updated to OS X Mavericks Yet?

Not yet. I did on my "real Mac Pro", but the Hackintosh I haven't for two reasons. 1. Not sure the audio drivers for a USB interface will work 2. I have a FUSION drive hack thing on it, and I'm not sure how I'm going to go about updating yet. The other thing is the iBooks moving all my...
