Audio over Display Port stopped working.

As a quick fix, instead of changing PP_PhmSoftPowerPlayTable or PP_DisablePowerContainment: Just set PP_PhmUseDummyBackEnd from 0 to 1. My leds stopped flashing and the fan speeds are lower. I suppose it's not as good as a correct PP_PhmSoftPowerPlayTable, but oh well - i think it's a good...

Just drag a video in your startup items. Opens QuickTime on startup automatically and vega is silent. Have been doing this for over half a year now.

It can't be because my GPUtach is pegged to the max -> can't be the fan curve.

Just an update on the Apple Bugreport. They still have no clue what causes it *rolleyes*. So I guess the fix for 10.13.4 won't be on track...

@xblazerx What would a DSDT for a CPU have to do with a GPU?

I filed a bugreport for this issue a long time ago and am in a conversation with them. According to Apple Engineers, the fix should come with 10.13.4

Since the iMac Pro has been released, it should be possible to do Xeon-W hackintoshes now with 11.2? Would appreciate if anyone (with money to spare ;)) has validated this already.

Since the AMD Vega GPUs are supported with the upcoming iMac Pro, i got an RX Vega 56. And everything works fine, except in some cases the GPU gets pegged at max and the desktop freezes. I've filed bug reports with Apple for this, since this would probably also occur in an iMac Pro. Now they...
