    Clover, Yosemite, HD3000 + Z77

Awesome! Glad to hear that my posts helped someone out, and that it's still working in El Capitan. Since making this thread, I've installed a GTX 970 graphics card and so I haven't been using the HD 3000 graphics. since updating to El Cap.

    Clover, Yosemite, HD3000 + Z77

RehabMan, as per your post here I decided to try an snb-platform-id of 10000300 instead of 00100300 and that fixed my issue! Thanks again for your help as it was ultimately your post in another thread that got me to find the working config. I do still have graphics glitches very briefly...

    Clover, Yosemite, HD3000 + Z77

Okay, a bit of an update, though no actual progress. I've verified that I've filled in everything from RehabMan's post accurately, using PlistEdit Pro rather than Clover Configurator. I'm now running 10.10.2 and Chimera will no longer boot my installation. Before updating to 10.10.2, I...

    Clover, Yosemite, HD3000 + Z77

Thanks for the detailed reply. I've been attempting to input all of the information using Clover Configurator - would you recommend against this? I'm not sure if it's missing some of the options that are required. I wasn't quite sure whether your layout referred to any exact syntax or was...

    Clover, Yosemite, HD3000 + Z77

Okay, I feel pretty stupid posting this because I know I've got this working before but I can't remember how and didn't document it at all. I then did a re-install and went back to Chimera. I have a 'mixed configuration' involving a 7-series board (Z77X-UD5H) and a Sandy Bridge CPU (i5-2500K)...

    Netflix, HTML5 and Yosemite

Ack, oh well. I actually quite like Safari - I didn't think I would, but it's so smooth on OS X compared to Chrome. And, in terms of features and usability, it works pretty well for me. At least it's not the end of the world to use Chrome for Netflix. Cheers

    Netflix, HTML5 and Yosemite

So, I recently got Netflix and learned that Yosemite and Safari 8.0 should support streaming via HTML5, without the need to install a plugin (specfically Silverlight). On my hackintosh, however, I get prompted to install Silverlight when trying to start a video. I'm up-to-date with 10.10.1...

HD 3000 on Ivy Bridge with Mavericks (framebuffer errors, no GUI at all)

Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm having something similar with HD 3000 and a Z77 motherboard, but oddly enough I managed to get it working when migrating my install from Chimera to Clover (still detected as HD 2000 but acceleration is working). I'm now trying to make a bootable Clover /...

    Z77X-UD5H Bios problems

Is it possible that the use of F15q, listed as a beta BIOS, could be the issue?

    Clover: Sandy Bridge, Z77 motherboard

Ah cool, thanks! The only reason I mentioned the graphics is that it seems they need a bit of work to get full acceleration working, due to them being 'mismatched' (OS X would expect a 7-series motherboard to be paired with an Ivy Bridge chip with HD 4000 graphics). I wasn't sure how this might...

    Clover: Sandy Bridge, Z77 motherboard

I'm going to put together a system shortly using a Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H and an i5-2500K, and plan on using the HD 3000 graphics (at least for the time being). I know that it may be a bit more effort to get graphics acceleration working than it would be with a 6-series board, but would this affect...

    Which Z77/H77 microATX board?

Awesome, that's exactly what I wanted to know, thanks. Now just to wait until pay day and then find a suitable board :)

    Which Z77/H77 microATX board?

Oh, I meant other Gigabyte boards. Obviously they released loads of 7-series boards, but there's only a few listed. How safe will I be if I pick a board that's not listed there? I don't know how picky I can afford to be given that most places won't stock those boards anymore, so I'll likely have...

    Which Z77/H77 microATX board?

Aha, thanks! Not sure the ITX boards would work for me (for instance, only 4 SATA ports and one PCIe slot) and the B75 board also lacks a fair few features, but the Q77 board listed there could work. I'm assuming other boards could work just as well, even though they're not in the buyer's...

    Which Z77/H77 microATX board?

Hi, I'm thinking of adapting my desktop into a fully compatible Hackintosh. Specs below: Core i5-2500K Asus P8Z68-V/GEN3 (NOT the 'Pro' variant) 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz CAS9 Asus HD 7970 Matrix Platinum Crucial M500 240GB SSD + storage drives I don't want more CPU power...
