I also swapped away from Nvidia when I was having tons of trouble. That didn't fix my problem though. Instead, what seems to correct things for me is erasing and re-installing everything on my EFI partition. There must've been something corrupt there. I've had to do it twice now. Not sure why...

Ok. After doing some research, I think my issue is that my EFI is/was getting corrupted in some way. Was able to make a bootable backup with CCC, then erase the EFI and copy back. That seems to have corrected the issue for the moment. No reboots in about a week.

And just had another random reboot last night. Nothing unusual. Computer had been on for less then three hours total. Firefox was the only open app, streaming video via amazon. Hopefully this isn't the start of another round...

Mine seem to have gone away. Most recent changes documented in my thread (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/crashes-without-warning.254329/page-3#post-1788800) though still not 100% sure whether we're having the same problem or not.

We are now at just over 1 month with no random reboots. I still haven't had time to put windows on my machine, though I will eventually. Other than that, I've been shutting down whenever I don't use the box bc that seemed to help previously but otherwise no changes since the above. Given travel...

hm. i've never installed windows or linux on a system before. any suggestions about where to go to learn how? alternately, any thoughts on diagnosing a hardware problem without installing another os? I'm 90% sure this is hardware related, as I've nuked my software setup and rebuilt it multiple...

No windows install here. I had around 4 months of easentially flawless computing before i started getting these random reboots too.

Absolutely. I'll upload it tonight or tomorrow morning (depending on how late I get home from work).

One other thing of note. With the my most recent clean-install I'm reinstalling all my software, and I'm having installers fail left and right from more than one developer too.

No overclocking. All my system diagnostics say that everything is fine, and I've made sure all my connections are secure. Is there something other than system diagnostics I should be checking?

An update: Last night I reformatted the drive and did a clean install of 10.13.3. I populated my itunes folder and my photo library from backups, but other than that and a file of words docs etc, everything is getting reinstalled.
