Ahh - of course. I feel pretty dumb now. The benchmark I was using had a couple NVMe SSDS. Of course my spinning drive array isn't going to get to that speed.
That said, is there any way to confirm that this is running to the computer as USB3 or TB3?
So I updated SSDTs to most recent -including the Fractal Design R6 .aml files. I now have a TB3 Raid array (Raid0 for speed), and was testing it today. I'm getting a write speed of about 800mb/s and read speed of 1gb.
While this is fast, I still feel like I am missing some speed here. If I was...
Has anyone made any headway on this - I followed @CaseySJ very carefully and still can't get these working?
@rogers76 did you get a chance to try this out. my current Hack is pretty similar to your second build.
I've got 10.4.9 up and running pretty well at this point. The RED plugin change through me for a loop, but no Hackintosh related problems, aside from the memory leak on import that I've never been able to fix. Were you in 10.4.8 before?
@loghound did you have issues withe the Catalina install process? I'm finding keyboard and mouse aren't working once I get into the Catalina installer. Using @CaseySJ mini guide for Catalina install, and all his EFI files from that post, but I wonder if there is something messed up with my...
Has anyone had problems at this stage with USB input devices not working properly? I've tried all the usb inputs on my machine for a mouse and an Apple Keyboard. No mouse seems to work, and keyboard arrows work, but I can't even press Return to engage the "Continue" button.
Followed all...
WOW! I am going to try this, but I gotta say I haven't heard this yet as a solution, and you may have just solved a 4 month long puzzle for me. Reinstalled the EmuVariableUefi-64.efi manually? Basically just copy and paste right?
yup - everything I am seeing is recommending the best solution is to bite the bullet and go Catalina. Gonna pull the trigger.
@KaelYeah It's interesting that you also have the same processor-mobo setup as most of the folks on this post. Any ideas why either of those components might cause this...
Gotcha. Any issues going up to Catalina from your build (its pretty similar to mine).
I haven't had a clean boot to the installer, but only tried once so far. Love to see your EFI if you have managed to get Catalina up. I think mines pretty broken right now, as I've been all over Clover trying...
It seems like a good deal of us have the Gigabyte mobos and the 9700 or 9900 processors. I can't think of anyway how that might be related to issues with iCloud, but can anyone else think of why that might happen?
10.14.6 here - exact same "spinning" in App Store after I hit the download button. I've tried all of these solutions as well. Anyone had any luck? Otherwise, I am gonna head to Catalina.
