Also tried the OWC one (currently discounted for $29) but had problems...

Yes, Option 1 is was I was trying to achieve, but didn't wanted to spend time for something I might not even use.
Option 2 is what I did to set the hack as default.
OSXWIFI: BT 4.0 & 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac
Successfully managed a fresh install of Monterey 12.2 on my Hack. This build is entirely based on @CaseySJ build. Modified it to fit my rig and sharing with the community.
Open Core 0.7.7
MB: Asus X99 A II
CPU: i7 6950X
GPU: Radeon Vega Fronteer Edition
Drive: Gen 3 256GM Apple SSD from Mac...
For my Monterey setup, I switched from 500 960evo to Gen3 256 Apple SSD on a PCIe card. Boots almost 2x faster than my Big Sur.
Still debating if I should invest in a different NVMe, but the Apple SSD works. Yeah its only 250 and the read/write speeds are outdated.....but it just works.
I was finally able to get the BT to work by disabling the USBInjectAll. Next step is to do a new USB mapping and this should get All USBs and BT to work.
Hi CaseSJ,
Thanks for compiling all that! I was surprised to be able to do fresh install of Monterey on X99 A II (unlike Big Sur). Using your EFI folder the install was plain and simple. However the post-install is where I spend an entire day and in the end it got me nowhere.
I could not get...
I used to encounter the mouse shutter as well.
One day I noticed my Vega was running at x8 instead of x16. Turned out it was sharing bandwidth with slot 4.
I freed up the slot and now the issue is gone.
Hope it helps.
I just wanted to stop by and thank @kgp again, i've been running strong on 10.14 with almost no issues (aside from USB mount issue when going to sleep). One day ill get to update to 14.2 (or3) but for now i'm happy.
KGP did you ever get to look at this?
