I ended up sticking with the safe bet - picked up a Gigabyte 6870. I will install it today and let you know how it goes. I guess the next question is if I decide to get another 6870 and set them up in Crossfire will they work on the OSX side of my dual boot rig? Thanks for the advice shibirian!
