    The 4K Dell OptiMac - 9020 MT - Core i7-4790 - Radeon RX 570 - LG 4K IPS Monitor

It is set to Default. However, I saw on another thread that @pastrychef recommended reinstalling the OS from the Recovery partition over the existing installation. I did that, and it seems to be working. I disconnected the drive with the Clover EFI just to be sure, and it booted fine. I still...

    The 4K Dell OptiMac - 9020 MT - Core i7-4790 - Radeon RX 570 - LG 4K IPS Monitor

Help please. I just reinstalled Mojave on my 9020. It booted off the USB installer (after using the 2.0 slot) with the OC files (from this thread) in the USB's EFI. It showed as an option in the Dell UEFI boot list. After normal installation on an internal SSD, I copied the files from the USB...

    The 4K Dell OptiMac - 9020 MT - Core i7-4790 - Radeon RX 570 - LG 4K IPS Monitor

I was using it on a 1080p monitor and it looked fine. I was using it with Mojave, don't know if that makes a difference.

I used a Displayport to VGA dongle, and it worked fine. Don't know about HDMI to VGA.

[Guide] HP 6300 Pro / HP 8300 Elite - A 100 percent Working and Easily Affordable CustoMac

Thanks, that makes sense. I've tried some other solutions but haven't had any luck, and the TV is what I have. It's usable with the reduced screen area, but since it basically only runs one program, OBS, I'm thinking of installing Windows again on that machine to see what happens. o_O

[Guide] HP 6300 Pro / HP 8300 Elite - A 100 percent Working and Easily Affordable CustoMac

Many thanks @trs96 for your guides to both of these. Due to you I now have one of each  A quick question: could I clone the drive EFI/Macintosh HD from one to use on the other? The reason I ask is that I have them both hooked up to the same monitor/TV over HDMI and the HP won't let me...

New Apple Silicon Macs: MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac Mini

Until we have some more benchmarks, this is helpful: Apple Silicon or discrete GPUs?

New Apple Silicon Macs: MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac Mini

Apple is going to push their own GPUs on silicon: M1 Apple Silicon This expression is overused, but it really is a game changer.

[Guide] HP Elite 8300 & 6300 Pro (all form factors) using Clover UEFI hotpatch

I don't think that's the error that's supposed to come up.

[Guide] HP 6300 Pro / HP 8300 Elite - A 100 percent Working and Easily Affordable CustoMac

I believe the order is to update your BIOS while you still have Windows, then after you make your installer USB, when you boot with it you can format the SSD with Disk Utility from the Installer.

    Graphics Test: Bruce X

Vanilla HP 8300 i7-3770 | HD4000 MacOS 10.14.6 | FCP 10.4.8 BruceX= 103 sec Looking forward to seeing the difference with an RX 560. EDIT: with the RX 560= 24 sec EDIT 2: with a stock low-end M1 Mac mini (and latest FCP 10.5.1)= 18 sec. Yikes.

[Guide] HP 6300 Pro / HP 8300 Elite - A 100 percent Working and Easily Affordable CustoMac

Using Mojave and the latest Macbench, my current HP scores 852 SC and 3223 MC. The BruceX score with FCP 10.4.8 for this stock configuration was 103 sec. I hope those numbers help anyone interested.

    NUC 10 i7 or CustoMac?

I appreciate the replies, although any Mac Mini except the most basic one (4 core i3, 8GB) breaks the budget. I would think, for example, that an HP G2 i7 with Radeon RX 580 would perform better, but I really don't know.
