High Sierra 10.13.2 install converts to APFS, forbidden icon during install

While updating from 10.12.5 to 10.13.2 via the app store, I had a number of issues that were not mentioned or covered in any of the update threads that I have been able to find. I started the update, after updating clover, adding the new apfs.efi downloaded from here, and setting my SMBIOS...

    Fenvi FV-T919 From Buying Guide

Perhaps someone should update the buyer's guide. The FV-T919 has been gone from there for at least three months.

Corsair K65 keyboard isn't quite compatible with OS X

For reference, this is the one I am talking about: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengeance-k65-compact-mechanical-gaming-keyboard

Corsair K65 keyboard isn't quite compatible with OS X

What do you mean, both connectors? AFAIK there's just one USB. This issue has happened on both my hackintosh and macbook, and I have installed ckb (works for me in 10.12.6) to change colors on my corsair mouse but it makes no difference to the keyboard because it is non-RGB.

Corsair K65 keyboard isn't quite compatible with OS X

I've tried to use Karabiner in order to get "modifier flag sync" which should allow NKRO boards that emulate multiple different keyboards to sync their modifier keys between each virtual keyboard. However, it seems that this is not how the K65 emulates its interface, so it didn't work.

Corsair K65 keyboard isn't quite compatible with OS X

I recently got a Corsair K65 (not RGB) keyboard to use with my hackintosh. I already have a mechanical keyboard, the Razer Blackwidow Tournament which has worked with my 'hack perfectly for months. Because the Razer green switches sound like a rusty typewriter when I don't wear my headset, I...

    Solved: Flickering screen with G-Sync

I wonder if it's an issue when you have multiple monitors and only one supports it. I have a similar issue with two monitors of which only one has G-sync.

    Solved: Flickering screen with G-Sync

Did you by any chance have a second monitor connected when the flickering happened?

    macOS 10.12.6 Update

I accidentally updated before checking this thread and was faced with a kernel panic because the update installed a new IONVMeFamily.kext and it couldn't read my boot drive (960 Evo). Per this thread, I used my backup install and deleted that kext from /S/L/E and it booted up fine, with the...

    [SUCCESS] ASUS ROG Maximus IX Hero - i7-7700K - 32GB RAM - Intel HD630 > EVGA GTX 1070 SC2 > AMD Sapphire RX580 Pulse

No. I'm pretty sure that once I enabled nvda_drv in Clover, everything just worked.

    [SUCCESS] ASUS ROG Maximus IX Hero - i7-7700K - 32GB RAM - Intel HD630 > EVGA GTX 1070 SC2 > AMD Sapphire RX580 Pulse

I've never had an issue running two 1440p displays from the two DisplayPorts on my 1080. However, I do experience significant issues if I try to enable G-Sync in the Nvidia control panel (only one of my monitors is G-Sync capable). I believe I also have the iMac14,2 system definition and it...

    G-Sync freezes in Sierra

I've noticed that with G-Sync enabled, the display will faintly flicker but no other issues at 60Hz. At any other frequency, however, both my G-Sync display (Dell S2417DG) and my other non-G-Sync Display (Dell U2515Hx) go completely black. I've just turned it off for now, but it sounds like a...

Has anyone gotten HWsensors to work with Kaby Lake and Pascal architecture?

Side note: I found the Intel Power Gadget, which can monitor the CPU temp, but I can't find a similar utility for Nvidia?

Apple Updates MacBook, MacBook Pro and iMac with Kaby Lake CPUs

In terms of the benchmarks I've seen, a 580 only really is as good as a 1060. I wonder why they don't include something with a little more power like a 1080? If reports are to be believed, the Vega may be more powerful than a TITAN Xp, but there are many NVidia chips that could be used in lesser...
