That would be quite awesome. As good as your guide is/was I could never get it working on my V330-15IKB, nor even the generic Unibeast method. :( Hopefully OpenCore will solve some problems (with the proper tweaking).
Thanks in advance! :)
I know this thread has been dead for a few months but I just wanted to confirm that I have the same setup as you (except for the video card) and I updated to High Sierra just fine with only minor problems (HD3000 video not in full resolution, and does not sleep).
I updated my BIOS to UEFI and...
OMG thanks so much for this post! I had been pulling my hair out (what's left of it anyway) over this and had to reinstall OS X at least twice before I found this advice.
Unchecking "Other files and folders" in Migration Assistant did the trick, and now I have a fully functional Sierra...
I know it's not a perfect solution, but if you have access to a real Mac then download/install/upgrade iWork on that machine, then when you come back to your Hackintosh and go to the Purchased tab of the App Store then you should be able to download/install the latest version.
Hope this helps.
Did you try booting with GraphicsEnabler=No ? If so, then definitely watch the (three) videos by StingRay on the blog page for help. Most helpful for you may be the http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2012/01/hackintosh-basics-kernel-panics-boot.html Kernel Panic video.
Good luck!!!
Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I am having similar issues trying to get my HP Photosmart C3180 to work. I could not add the printer automatically in Lion but manually downloading the printer drivers and software got this working... sort of. Now when I print anything the printer...
I have the same specs as your machine (except that I use the DVI-D port at 1680x1050) and I also have seen artifacts. However, mine are pretty rare and I only seem to have them when playing YouTube videos with Firefox.
Just my experience but the longer I keep the machine on, the fewer...
I agree. Go with the mobos that are supported here in the forums and you won't be tearing out your hair (as much). I got the GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3 and it worked with a minimum of problems (with the on-board HD3000 graphics).
I assume you are running the machine that is in your profile, yes? If so, does the phone charge when you plug it in? If not, then you may have a USB port problem.
If the phone does charge (and just doesn't show up in iTunes) then try installing the USBFamily Rollback using Multibeast. Perhaps...
FYI -- I (re)installed the IOUSBFamily Rollback as noted above and now everything works fine. I also (re)installed the FakeSMC and plugins as was noted in another thread in these forums.
I just knew something was fishy when I booted in Windows (dual-boot system) and everything worked on that...
Those two posts kinda refer to Windows systems, but I tried them anyway and I still get the iTunes error. :(
Any suggestions anyone? Perhaps a BIOS or kext tweak somewhere?
Thanks.
I am having a similar problem on my new Hackintosh.
Mobo: GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3 F12
OS: 10.7.2
I plug in my iPhone (to a USB 2.0 port) and after a long timeout (30 seconds?) I get the error" iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000065).
It does charge the...
