How long are system updates taking everyone? Mine seem to eventually work, but take over 30 minutes (I leave the room and they eventually get to the login screen when I check back in an hour or two) to install and boot up again. Wondering if it's me or just the nature of the update process on...

Are they in a usb 2.0 slot? That fixed it for me.

@trs96 - how well is your Z68MA-D2H-B3 system working compared to the Dells and HPs? I have that board on another computer, but it's all the way back on Yosemite. I was thinking of updating the bios to UEFI and getting it up to at least High Sierra - maybe mojave if I find another cheap Geforce 710.

I was curious what everyone's idle CPU temps are. I haven't changed the thermal paste yet but mine are right around 40°C with the SFF and i5 3570. I only ask to see if it's really worth the trouble to change out the paste if everyone else is significantly lower.

Thanks. I did that and I might have been able to get it to boot finally - this is using the SSDT.aml that was inside the ACPI folder Library/ssdtPRGen/ACPI. Maybe that was my issue all along - I might have been grabbing the SSDT from inside the main folder by mistake? Is this the right SSDT.aml...

After some tinkering, I deleted all of those kexts, removed the Bluetooth dongle and it still wouldn't boot with that ssdt.aml in the patched folder. I'll work on getting those error reporting files together if I'm ambitious today.

Hmm. Still no dice. I think the problem might have something to do with some extra kexts I have installed that make my USB Bluetooth dongle (Asus BT-400) and TP Archer T6E Wifi card work better with handoff/airdrop etc. hangs at "kexd stall[0], (60s): 'X86PlatformPLugin', 'BCM20702A0'" - maybe...

Thanks for finding this- I've been googling for a couple days and it never came up with this post. I added to my patched folder, but the system still won't complete the boot process. Does anyone have a SSDT for i5 3570 that was made prior to Mojave. None of my systems seem to boot with the Mojave created SSDT for power management.
