I had the same, but I was able to get into my system by booting from a bootable usb with my operating system on it and clover installed to it as well (search this site, you'll find how to do it). Just be sure to select OsxAptioFixDrv-64 during instalation of clover on the usb stick. Then select...
Solved!
Only in a different way.
I already ordered an extra ssd to make a clean installation when this problem couldn't be solved tomorrow and when looking up how to do that, I stumbled upon a very good explanation how to do that using clover. It described how to make a bootable USB with a...
Edit: See post below for fix
Hello all,
Introduction: I updated clover because I was still running 10.11 and thought about an update. As my computer was identified as an older Mac Pro, OSX didn't let me update straight away. So I updated Clover, and guess what... Black screen after Clover...
This guide was great! My previous OSX 10.9 install was kind of problematic, with a lot of errors, and so I was a bit reluctant to install a new OS. But after finder stopped working, I had to and that was a lot easier then expected.
No problems during installation whatsoever. I have a late 2014...
Yup, I'm stupid... Just had the left panel open to turn the buttons down side up, and saw that I've totaly forgot about that mounting place when installing my drives. Rookie mistake... :banghead:
Maybe one day I'm going to redo al the wiring. It's now quite ugly, and same case in the OP is...
Sweeeeeeet, you're my hero. It XCHI was already enabled (theres no Smart Auto on my Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H) but ECHI Hand-off was disabled. After enabling it still gives me this mesage on startup:
but not this one anymore, it just boots. So happy!
I love this website
Ahh, never thought of placing the ssd behind the MB. But I suppose you have to unmount the MB to be able to do so... I've put the USB-panel and on-switch on the left side as well, only I've still got to turn those two buttons a 180 degrees... :silent: Thanks for your quick reply!!!
That's one great build!
One question regarding the case: do you like the Prodigy case? I've got one myself (using Z87 as well) but I found the case quite stupid. Where did you put your SSD? The extra insert for installing two HDD's or SSD's (you can't instal both) is stupid because you install...
Nice job, I also started with the Z87 and 4670(K) and integrated 4600 Graphics but then using a 2560x1440 monitor. It did work, had to make the same Chimera-adjustments as you did (but then using <string>"2560x1440x32"</string> of course). But in my case, even playing lowres video's full screen...
Built one fine working Hackintosh, with only one small but inconvient problem (as i have to transfer my old data to my new machine): when I connect an external drive, the systeem freezes. Sometimes immediately, sometimes after a little while. No kernel-pannic to be seen, just the regular screen...
Thanks! As far as I can google 2560x1440 should work via DP. Going to order the setup right now, if it doesn't work i'll go for the GTX660. Keep you posted.
Added a simple GPU cooler that should be a lot more silent then the one suplied with the CPU.
Hi all,
Thanks for this amazing forum, read and learned a lot allready. My iMac 24" is slowly dieing, so looking to replace it with a new mac. But ouch... expensive! I just started as fulltime freelance photographer so saving some money is more then welcome. That's why i want to build a...
