So the card reader is the problem? I also have an USB printer with card reader connected to my system, and the casing has a card reader too. Anyway, not going to bother as the new BIOS somehow fixed the issue. I am so glad I don't have to see the message 4 times every time I boot up anymore...

Interesting. I found that there's an update for my UEFI/BIOS (version F18), updated it and now the problem is gone. Maybe you can try that too. Regards CK

Updated from AppStore, it's only a 7.2MB download. The USB 3.0 ports on my Gigabyte Z77-D3H is still not recognising USB 2.0 devices. I don't yet have USB 3.0 devices to test it with.

Hi, I have a very similar screen in my system profiler - i.e. it shows USB 3.0 Super Speed and USB 3.0 High Speed, but it's unable to detect a USB 2.0 device plugged into it. I read on another thread that there is no backwards compatibility so will work with only USB 3.0 devices. Does anyone...
