macOS supports external GPU's via PCIe, pretty sure this won't go away. All the smart people that provided macOS hacks and iOS jailbreaks will surely also have their fun with macOS, including trying to port it to other hardware
Thanks for the quick reply, that clarifies. Based on your suggestion I've changed the framebuffer config from DP to HDMI but no success. I'll pick up a USB-C to Displayport cable tomorrow, sounds like the better solution!
Hi everyone, I trying to get a 2nd monitor working via IGP and an USB-C to HDMI connector. This works fine when connected to my MacBook but can't get it to work on the Z-390. Currently have Mojave running ok except for the 2nd monitor.
Is the BIOS (V7) of the Z390 Designare suppose to appear...
I have two Eizo monitors connected with 1920 x 1200 @ 60hz. One on HDMI, other on DisplayPort (I think, currently not at home so can't check..). Latest macOS, no issues at all. At some point I also had a 3rd display at 1080P but didn't really use it that much (mainly for video editing).
I'm been reading that it has been solved. Looking for confirmation that it is also solved on GA-Z87MX-D3H - i7-4770K - HD 4600. Or does this still also occur on other boards like the H97N-WiFI?
Anyone here has a working Sierra system with HD4600?
I'm having problems with Safari Crashing on video content.
The patch from this post works after reboot but at some point again fails: #187 (AppleIntelFramebufferAzul patch)
Yosemite and El Capitan run without any issues.
Got a black screen after updating via AppStore :-(
Cursor (arrow) is showing and responding.
Also remote SSH login works.
Update:
Got it working again. A 4TB time machine HD got corrupted and took ages to check. This apparently prevented the desktop from starting (??). Killing the fschk...
Just tried if an ozmosis bios would solve things on my ga-z87mx-d3h.
Was really nice to see the system boot OSX strait from the bios but unfortunately it didn't resolve the problem.
Actually made it worse with the system freezing on playing Beats instead of it just not playing.
So I'm...
Could you provide links to the other threads? That way we might be able to consolidate the info's and find out what all the installations that don't work have in common.
Here's a link to an Apple forum that reports Beats not playing on their Mac:

I tried logout and restart iTunes but didn't solve it.
Mine is not crashing, just not playing Beats 1..
I failed to find this thread and unfortunately posted a similar question..
Meanwhile someone has confirmed it to be working on his system.

He appears to have a discrete video card so...
I've succesfully updated to 10.10.4 and latest iTunes.
Apple Music streaming trial works.
Only thing not playing is Beats 1 Radio.
It's working fine on my MacBook Air, just not on my desktop.
Can anyone confirm that Beats 1 is working on their hackingtosh?
Thx
