    Replace motherboard for Thunderbolt compatibility

I have more info on this. I need to start the computer twice. First time it doesn't see the Apollo. I have to shut down and unplug the mains and restart. Then it works. Seems to be the same pattern everytime. Any ideas ?

    Replace motherboard for Thunderbolt compatibility

BIOS F21 MAC 10.15.7 UAD APOLLO 8XP TB config seems correct. I attached a screenshot. Port was working yesterday. Not today and I cold booted a few times. I left it alone , plugged everything out and booted again and it's working now. Any ideas why that would be?

Hi My thunderbolt ports have stopped working for some reason. Have you come across this? I checked on two different devices, different cables and both ports.

    Replace motherboard for Thunderbolt compatibility

Disregard the booting issue . I booted from the USB, removed the kexts from plist etc and booting fine again. Did I install the kexts incorrectly? Or the wrong ones? As I mentioned I put the family kext in efi/oc/kernels and also dragged it into the plist.

    Replace motherboard for Thunderbolt compatibility

I think I did something incorrectly. I added the family kext to kext folder in EFI/OC/KEXTS and also dragged it into Plist. Now when I boot , I get stuck at the Apple logo. How do I go about removing these kexts?

    Replace motherboard for Thunderbolt compatibility

Thanks for that. I did try it and think I did it correctly but didn't seem to work. I used Hackintool and tried to install the 1080211family.kext but I kept getting an error. Not really sure if I was doing it correctly. When it asks where to install the default is L/E so I choose that. I get an...

    Replace motherboard for Thunderbolt compatibility

Thanks for that. It worked a charm. The system is working fairly smoothly now. Both UAD and Apogee pci cards are working, Ethernet is working. I haven't been able to test the thunderbolt yet as I am waiting on a thunderbolt 2 to 3 adapter. I had 2 questions. 1.In relation to the wifi card. I...

    Replace motherboard for Thunderbolt compatibility

Thanks for that. So to clarify. Will I just replace my EFI with this one? And if I need to configure it , use version oc config version 2.65? So I don't need to continue with USB port configuration? Many Thanks as always.. Will

    Replace motherboard for Thunderbolt compatibility

Hi again. I used EFI mount to mount the EFI. I assume that was ok rather than terminal as per the guide. The usbinject all kext was already there but I replaced it. It was also enabled in. Plist. I did tick the xhci port limit though. I opened Hackintool and proceeded as per the guide. I am...
