I can get it to install, but auto reboots on me when it hits the grey screen before the language options come up.

For reference, you can achieve 60hz (or 59.975) with the club3d cac-1070 adapter by making a custom resolution in switchresx and make sure you set it with "CVT-RB".

Got a black screen at first. Had to boot back in using nv_disable=1 and re-run agdpfix again. Works, but on osx driver. Waiting on nvidia to update.

Someone made me an ssdt-0 after i gave him my dsdt (not sure, i'm a newb at ssdt/dsdt). Along with your usb2fix ssdt, install screen showed right away. Thanks again:D

Thanks for replying. I got a bit further in the boot process with your advice but still not booting..I'll keep at it. I get new errors now:) If i wait long enough after the "service exited with abnormal code:255", i get a grey screen with beachball.

Helloooo. I just can't get this thing to boot so I can install el capitan. Tried about every combination of commands (npci=0x2000, graphicsenabler=yes/no, pcirootuid=0, usekernelcache=no, nv_disable=1, -v)and they all end up at "still waiting for root device". Using -x gets me to another page...

im on the same boat. stuck at pci config begins. there seems to be hacked drivers for the x3100 but one step at a time. need to boot this first...

you need to remove the boot disc, insert the os disc, and press f5. you might need to run additional commands to get it to boot. It refused to boot for me until i boot with the commands cpus=1 busratio=20 on my Envy 14 (i5/ati 5650) Also a noob myself. Still lots to do afterwards...which i...
