Any ideas anyone? It's automatically restarting at the end of the install, I'm not sure if this is part of the issue.
Can't boot from SSD after install.
Post not getting approved, I guess they don't like me including links to a video download.
So I:
Deleted the unnecessary kexts as outlined in post #53.
Moved the suggested kexts plus whatevergreen to the OTHER folder in Kexts Folder.
Wiped SSD - formatted with APFS/GUID
Reinstalled High Sierra...
After pressing F11 it restarts and goes back to the Clover boot menu, then it restarts during a very speedy verbose menu when I try to boot OSX installed on my SSD.
I did create the USB using Unibeast, and configured it with Clover Configurator - Unibeast configuration alone didn't work either...
Hi all,
I'm trying to resurrect my old hack that I killed while trying to install Catalina on it. I've been trying to get it back up and running on High Sierra, but to no avail.
From initial boot to install the OS, this happens:
*Clover bootloader screen
*Runs through verbose
*Gets to Apple...
Dear all,
I'm looking to build a new machine, and it's been a while since I built my last. I've been doing my research, especially looking at CaseySJ's Build, but wondered if I was going to hit any problems with this build:
Mobo: GIGABYTE Z490 VISION D
CPU: Intel Core i9-10900K 10-Core 3.7...
Ok, so:
I downloaded Mojave 10.14.6 (14.6.06 in file info)
Used Unibeast 9.3.0 to create install
I opened clover config, replaced the EFI with my previous EFI
Checked drivers and kexts were correct
Tried to install
Result - same kernel panic
Then
Rebuilt the install USB from scratch again...
Made changes to EFI, back to kernel panic as before. Not even to Catalina install dialog.
I'll try a different download, overnight...
Mojave - no one has a link to download Mojave directly do they? Every link I've got takes me to App Store, and all my devices have Catalina already - so I can't...
Same issue with broken OS again. Hangs at end of install for 10mins saying it has 2 mins remaining, then this dialog box appears. Time to clean up my EFI partition....
It's odd. I downloaded it 2 days ago and believed it to be the latest version. The information from the install file says it is 15.4.01 (I expect meaning 10.15.4 iteration 1), and that it was created March 17th (not the date I downloaded it), and it's 8.23GB file - where as the new update...
Thank again.
New problem, at the end of the install it said that the copy of Catalina was damaged (only downloaded two days ago on my other computer - an actual Mac). So I figured I'd try changing the date as this post suggested for Mojave...
Thanks! I'll check the AptioMemoryFix again, I think I tried that before and no luck, but worth a shot.
I hd two similar verbose message screens. Yes, along the lines of, but very similar. See attached.
