    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Thanks, well by that it means that it's kind of on par with the 9900k as I believe a user said 158 was their result so I'm guessing if you duplicate the tracks you should hit the same limit....Bless Logic Pro and the i9-9900K

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

@ tonben, Is it possible for you to run the Logic Multitrack Benchmark Test and post your results so that we can get a base line result so to speak.I know its a bit early but this way as time goes on hopefully Apple releases a machine which matches the actual hardware we can track the benefits...

May sound stupid but have you tried using a different USB port? Maybe the Yellow on the IO sheild.I'm not sure if those DAC ports really makes a difference in OS X or Windows for that matter but you never know.Bless

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Can anyone comment as to the clearance for the first PCI-e x1 slot when a GPU is installed in the First x16 slot? Will something like this PCI-e PCI Express 36PIN 1X Extender work or must we settle for that slot being of no use?

Logic Pro and the i9-9900K- A Test

Thanks for all your input guys, it's much appreciated  .Logic seems to be never ending story, same goes for the Drive I/O meter  Since Logic's earlier versions this has been a hit or miss.If you want a overload msg just randomly jump to different parts in a project and watch it...

New to Hackintosh world, professional composer on Cubase. Would love recommendations.

How about just upgrading your CPU to a 8 core (E5-2687Wv2), 10 core (E5-2690v2) or 12 core (E5-2697v2) ? The 8 Core will be similar to your 6 core in base clock but the other 2 are lower.I think the 10 core is a good compromise between base clock and core/threads.... On the hack side of things...

I replied to your other post but I've just seen this one.Why not use VE pro to it's fullest and add a slave system? Your current Mac Pro combined with a 9900k should suffice and it does not even have to be Mac..

Build recommendations for a mega-powerful music DAW.

@NoahNoah I would agree with trs96 concerning the x299, CaseySJ's build would be my recommendation but with the 9900K.If however you must have more than 8 cores then x299 is your only option in the Hackintosh realm. You said that it's for Composing so I'm guessing high track counts (VI's &...
