Has anyone tried this board out with OS X 10.9? I just ordered one to replace my MSI P67A-C43 so that I can put my system into a smaller case.
The board I have now works perfectly with 10.9 and this board has the same audio/network chips, as well as a similar BIOS so hopefully things work well.
I updated to OS X 10.9 (the GM) a while back since I'm a developer, and everything worked fine.
As of today I am no longer able to see any of the app updates under the update tab. I can still download/install/manually update apps by finding them from within the app store. I just can't use...
Article: UniBeast: Install OS X Mavericks on Any Supported Intel-based PC
I was able to install the operating system with the stock image without any need to modify any kexts on my 6870.
A 2500K + MSI P67A-C43 + Sapphire 6870 Flex from 10.8.4 to 10.8.5 though the combo update worked, but after a little work. I had to go in and remove the AppleIntelCPUPowerMangement.kext and AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementClient.txt from the upgraded installation, and replace them with the...
Let me know if you find anything that works. I went ahead and just gave up on that second DVI port and bought a couple of active Mini DisplayPort to single link DVI adapters so that I can have four monitors. Everything has been working perfectly with the adapters I purchased.
Maybe this is...
So I have a system running 10.8.4. It has a 2500K, MSI P67A-C43, and a Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 Flex Edition (there's a link to the exact model at the bottom of the post.)
Last week I got a new 2560x1440 monitor that requires dual link DVI to work. Before I had just three simple monitors (two...
Doesn't work (or at least not easily) from 1.8.2 to 1.8.4 with the Radeon HD 5450 and MSI P67A-C43. Everything but video is working. I had a ton of problems getting the video card working with 1.8.2 but managed to eventually get it working. There probably is a way to get it working again just...
I went ahead and restored from a Time Machine backup. I then went ahead and repaired disk permissions/repaired the disk from Disk Utility from the Mountain Lion installation flash drive.
I was able to boot into OS X once again by doing all of that. After installing the bootloader again I can...
I have been running a Hackintosh without any real issues for the past couple of months but all of a sudden this past week I started having issues. About once a day when I was doing something, usually opening or switching to a new app, the Hackintosh would freeze up and I would have to press the...
I'm currently taking an iOS Development class and some classmates have had success on real Macs with this tutorial: http://www.raywenderlich.com/8003/how-to-submit-your-app-to-apple-from-no-account-to-app-store-part-1
I assume it's the exact same sort of thing with a Hackintosh. I have been...
I finally got a working Hackintosh setup about a month ago. I have always wanted to setup a Hackintosh even way back when Apple used PowerPC processors and it was pretty much impossible like it might be in the future. Just like I tried back then I will still try even if it is impossible in the...
Since I am using a smaller case I'm using the low profile adapter for my card. To use that I removed the little VGA dongle knowing I wouldn't be using VGA. The weird thing is that in order to have two monitors enabled I have to boot with three monitors plugged in. The VGA/DVI inputs just...
