ok, I *think* I have everything now. /library/extensions could not be accessed no matter how i tried but i could get to it by double clicking from the DCPIManager to see the .kexts in finder. Scoured it after gaining access and found AppleHDA.kext.
Hope this is everything:
i have no audio devices and cannot get them working. Mobo has RealtekALC1150, which i installed using Multibeast, no change. Reinstalled OSX el Capitan, tried again, no change.
Tried to find AppleHDA.kext. Do not have (even with show hidden files) system/library/extensions. No luck. I have...
What preferences were you referring too exactly? My issue is regarding no devices available at all. Did you have this problem too? Here is what my Sound Preferences menu looks like:
Edit: Kept giving me an error when trying to attach the images, not sure why so here is the imgur link...
That's awesome that you know what the problem is! But you have linked back to the guide that I simply cannot follow. I've backed up my "broken" config.plist file after mounting the EFI but after reading the whole guide I still do not know how to fix a damaged .plist.

mount_msdos disk1s1 (whatever corresponded to my USB drive) and then /Volumes/USBEFI
So i had an idea of getting my USB into a different "disk_s_" slot by...
I have a custom mac, went straight down the buyer's guide for recommended hardware. First hackintosh obviously. I first installed Antergos to try it out and everything went relatively smoothly and i had it running. Went down the installation guide and started the computer from scratch to boot...
