Hi all,
I'm wondering if you could help me out. I had a perfectly working system under Yosemite, but the SSD croaked and I decided to upgrade to High Sierra 10.13.6 when I replaced it (new one is Samsung 960 EVO). The machine will work fine for the first few times after I install multibeast...
I re-set the BIOS to my pre-OC profile and then followed your lead. It worked. It must have had something to do with setting the core multipliers manually.
Thanks.
It should work for you. I use mine (i7-4770k, GA-Z87X-UD5H, GTX660 Ti, 16 GB RAM, Mavericks 10.9.1, Samsung 840 SSD) with Apple's Final Cut Pro X, and it has dramatically improved my quality of life when editing video. It rocks.
Nice thread tdw. I have a very similar build (i7-4770K, GA-Z87X-UD5H, GTX 660 Ti, 16 GB RAM and Mavericks 10.9.1)
I'm just dipping my toe in the water to overclock and having a problem I'm hoping you all with similar builds can help out with.
I started by setting my multiplier from 35 to 37...
The update worked like a charm. I just installed the update (after backing up), rebooted, re-installed my saved multi beast config, rebooted again. No problems. Even HDMI audio continues to work.
The rig works great with FCPX and Compressor. It's a dream compared to my 2008 vintage Macbook Pro. Note, I'm using the 660-Ti, no the 660. They're different. The Ti is basically a cut-down 670. Different silicon than the 660.
